Lost Dutchman Coffee House
12 N Center St, Mesa, AZ
Crema's Take
“Lost Dutchman serves thoughtfully crafted espresso drinks in a genuinely cozy Southwestern-inspired space where you can actually linger for hours—think soft lighting, comfortable sofas, and a music selection that doesn't feel like background noise. The standout here is their creative signature drinks and an espresso program that clearly gets attention, though fair warning: they can get slammed with just one barista, so patience is part of the experience. Their peanut butter bites are legendary enough that regulars mention them by name, and the whole vibe feels less like "third place coffee shop" and more like visiting someone's carefully designed living room.”

I love this place and their coffee. They just desperately need more than one person working at all times. As soon as someone comes in to order a smoothie and an espresso drink, then the rest of us are having to wait a longer time for the one barista to make both things. Still, the stuff I’ve had here is amazing and it’s a great place to sit for a while with a coffee.
I have seen this coffee house many times and have been wanting to try it. The decor is Southwestern and very Arizona. It's very comfortable and you can easily spend an hour visiting inside of the cafe. They have their own coffee beans for anyone who wants to drink some of their coffee at home. Although I did not buy a bag of coffee beans, I enjoyed my coldbrew and can see myself going back. Five stars.
It’s not my first time at Lost Dutchman, but today’s visit was absolutely fabulous. Why? Catarina, the Barista was amazing. Working solo, she was running around making hot chocolates, americanos, lattes, heating croissants up, serving the must delicious almond poppy seed loaf...Ive never seen such a great happy barista multi tasker. She steamed oak milk for my very flavorful Americano too. This review is really all about Catarina. Owners, she deserves a raise. The List Dutchman is a great, homey, comfortable shop with delicious pastries. You can definitely spend time with a his book.
Great coffee and best peanut butter bites, wonderful service and the best music selection ever at a café! Very nice ambient with sofas, tables and cozy lighting. Highly recommend!
Shout out to the bartender at the Mesa art center that sent us over - he’s a real one! We ordered an array of drinks and enjoyed them all. The espresso is made in such a cool espresso machine - you can taste the difference!! Noting that the lemonade is in the sweeter side. This place is so cute and so inviting. Thank you to Lauren for making our drinks and experience special.
