Crema's Take

Master's Blend is a charming neighborhood spot in Ferndale where the baristas genuinely care about matching you with the right drink, whether that's their creative seasonal specials or a comforting traditional favorite like their Eggnog Chai Latte. The cozy, art-filled space welcomes families and cyclists alike, though the team occasionally struggles under the lunch rush—but when Emmerson's behind the counter, you'll feel the genuine warmth that keeps customers coming back despite the occasional hiccup.

Emmerson has the best attitude and work ethic with customers and managing the busy level of the coffee shop! I went in with both my kids and my mom and it was slammed and while Emmerson was the only one working, she made sure everyone was happy and satisfied with their orders! They were out of a lot of product but she made great recommendations for the replacement of the out of stock products!

I'm super disappointed usually it's always spot on. The sausage, egg and cheese burrito is usually a huge hit but this time it was watery at the bottom which wasn't pleasant. Then to top it off I got a seasonal drink apple cider and it had huge floating Coagulated chunks in it, super gross and undrinkable.

This is a very nice little coffee shop however there are some problems that I think should be addressed: 1. There's only one person working there even when it's very busy and second person is needed. 2. Because there is only one person working, there tends to be a ridiculous long wait for all customers in both the drive through and at the register. 3. There is only one register when there should be a second one by the drive through window. The poor girl working by herself is already scrambling to serve all the customers at the counter and the drive through window. Having only one register adds to her burden and customer wait time. 4. Food items frequently run out before the lunch rush is even over. Whoever is responsible for stocking supplies to make food does not restock often enough. The last three times I went here they were out of everything to make sandwiches and wraps before 12:30pm. TLDR: you need two workers during busy times, get a separate register for the drive through and restock food supplies more often or send the second worker you hopefully hire to the store when stuff runs out.

Funky little coffee shop! Loved it. Got a mocha milkshake. Was a great break from peddling. Friendly staff, delicious shake. Cute art.

This place is really nice. I told the barista I wasn’t a coffee person and they replied with their most ordered seasonal drinks and had me at Eggnog Chai Latte. I got mine with light ice and oat milk and boy did they understand what light ice meant. That was very much appreciated. The drink had the slightest eggnog taste which was good and not overpowering. I asked if they had breakfast options and they began to list them. I went with the egg, cheese and sausage burrito. The burrito was tasty minus the salty sausage (which is where they lost one star). It was properly filled, so I didn’t have so much empty tortilla left over. They asked if I wanted salsa or avocado, which I wouldn’t have known to ask since this was my first time there, but passed on both. The barista’s personality, knowledge and fast service was one of the best I’ve ever experienced. They did note that I just beat the rush, so the wait for my drink and burrito was less than 5 minutes. I may have to make a trip out here occasionally to try their other seasonal drinks.
