Taco House

Crema's Take
“This family-friendly spot wins over visitors with handmade tortillas and fresh, flavorful asada that justify a stop, especially during their beloved Taco Tuesday when prices drop to an honest $1.50. While service can be inconsistent and portions are modest, the locally owned charm and genuine care for quality shine through in the details—complimentary offerings, a spotless dining room, and a welcoming vibe that makes it worth the detour when you're in Bakersfield.”

An average restaurant serving food that is far too overpriced. Tacos are 3.25 each and are about the size of the palm of your hand. That’s unacceptable. Additionally fountain drinks at 4.50 is absurd. Please see receipt for reference. The torta we had was… okay. As was the “flaming hot” burrito. However, Bakersfield is a Mexican food haven and there are at least 4-5 restaurants serving this food at a far superior price point within 5 miles. For a frame of reference, I had to give 3 tacos to a pair of young children as the two I originally purchased was insufficient (they were still hungry).
This is the slowest Mexican food spot I got my food at. It took me 40 minutes to get my pollo quesadilla. One guy hustling making food and everybody else around him just pretend to look busy. I was hoping the food will at least taste good but given was unseasoned and the Guac sauce they give on the side is crazy over salted. Very disappointed. Might as well go to Taco Bell next door.
We came here on a whim while charging our car. The food was fresh and really good. We tried the veggie breakfast burritos. Good value for money. The service was great! We were even offered complementary fresh tortilla chips with a topping. The location was also very clean. Highly recommended.
Really recommend this place. Food was excellent with asada meat having great flavor. Support this locally owned business they have great service and the restaurant is really clean. Glad we came here.
Food was fresh! Hand made tortillas. Tried all of the tacos for Taco Tuesday $1.50 each. Chicken, asada, pastor and Chorizo, cabeza (steamed pork). You have to put the onions and cilantro on yourself but, I think they did this because some don't like them garnished already. I was full but, had to try the fish taco and it was huge! Very good batter and well garnished. Good portions and the salsa are made there and packaged there I was told. Gotta come back to try breakfast and a burrito. Next time!
