Crema's Take

Macondo Downtown pulls you into a bright, spacious haven where fresh pastries emerge from the oven as they open and espresso drinks arrive steaming hot, made by genuinely kind staff who seem to actually care about your experience. Whether you're camping out with your laptop for hours or grabbing a Colombia empanada before your cruise, the relaxed vibe and beautiful art displays make it feel less like a coffee shop pit stop and more like a neighborhood gathering spot where locals actually want to linger.

The staff here are so kindhearted and the service is great. The food and drinks come out as soon as they are made so your food is always hot and fresh. The atmosphere is relaxing and you don’t mind waiting a little extra. Recommend to everyone!

We were looking for a coffee shop to sit and wait for our cruise, and loved our time at Macondo Cafe! They were pulling fresh pastries out of the oven when they opened, and after having a couple decided to go back for seconds! My late was amazing as well. The atmosphere was casual and cozy. When we were on our way out, Dana, Ro, and Sebastian helped us secure our luggage tags, and slid me another late and pastry on the house! Amazing customer service the entire time. We will definitely stop in next time we are in Miami again!

Perfect for working on a laptop. The music is at a moderate volume, there are plenty of tables to choose from, and there is always space available. The cost of the food is a bit high for what you get, but that’s typical of Miami prices. They offer several types of beverages in a refrigerator in case you want something in addition to coffee or food. The décor is cozy, with a Colombian-style vibe.

Excited to find Macando upon arrival 🙌🏽 my husband and I were introduced to Macando in Wesley Chapel. The downtown location was clean, spacious and displays beautiful art. The Colombia empanadas (2 per order) are fantastic. Staff were welcoming and flexible with our a la carte order. Highly recommend. Paid parking in the area is available. Great experience, we returned for breakfast during the week.

I was excited to try this location, since I’ve been to a couple other ones and it’s always been good. It’s also worth noting I’ve only had their breakfast menu before. I ordered a lunch bowl with chicken and it was disgusting, it tasted like boiled chicken that is dipped in something at the end just to give some color and make it appear somewhat seasoned. It had no flavor at all. For the price you would think they would have better chicken.
