Rooftop Caffé at The Flat Iron Hotel

20 Battery Park Ave Rooftop, Asheville, NC

Crema's Take

Perched atop the historic Flat Iron Hotel, this rooftop café trades cramped interiors for sprawling patios with sweeping city views—the kind of place where your morning coffee tastes even better with Asheville spread out below you. The breakfast sandwiches are genuinely excellent and generously stuffed, the staff (especially Bunny) treats regulars and first-timers alike with genuine warmth, and the peaceful, unhurried vibe makes it easy to linger over a slow sit despite some inconsistency with food execution. It's the sort of neighborhood gem where locals and visitors alike return again and again for that rare combination of stunning atmosphere and authentic hospitality.

Food was absolutely horrible. Sausages uncooked, bacon burnt and buns dry. November 29-th, 2025

Stunning views, delicious coffee, excellent service, I was made welcome from the moment I walked in through the lobby. Absolutely perfect, peaceful start to my day. Will definitely return on our next trip to Asheville to experience the sunset & wood fired pizza.

We were in Asheville for a short visit but came for breakfast here twice. The breakfast sandwich is excellent. The woman who worked the counter, Bunny, also brought us our food and was super kind and attentive. She had even baked the English muffins our sandwiches were made on. All of this plus a rooftop view of Asheville.

Another fabulous rooftop in Asheville. Three separate patios offer differing views of the city. The friendly staff provides refreshments of your choice.

Such a good spot! We stopped by the Rooftop Caffe at The Flat Iron Hotel for breakfast and loved everything about it. The breakfast sandwich was so good. Lots of egg which made me happy :) The mocha was also delicious. The best part was sitting up there with a great view of the city soaking in the morning. Chill vibes, kind staff, and tasty food. We’ll definitely be back!
