Quantum Laundry Lounge

I've only been twice, but so far I like it. Nice environment, clean machines that fit a decent load, they have carts to make hauling from washer to dryer easier, they aren't that much more expensive than what my apartment runs, and they have a cafe. My one gripe is that, if you don't have the app, the kiosk available isn't super intuitive and it also puts in added soap by default (which does make it higher in price). Pretty annoying, havent figured out how to make it not do that. I downloaded the app cus I figure I'm gonna be here often enough, but it is something to keep in mind. Nice place though.

This place used to be clean and fresh and have great service. Today the machines were offline, leaking everywhere and the outsides were super filthy. The garbage's were overflowing, the two staff members on shift were on their phones and both of them had to fold 1 load of laundry together. I asked the girl if she would empty the garbage she said yes and went and got back on her phone. Rude dirty and lack of customer service! Not the laundromat it started out as. So sad. Also if the machines are offline they need to offer whats on the machines and be knowledgeable. Not every patron knows the options and it is not ok for them to assume they do and get rude when you ask for clarification.

I scoured reviews of local laundromats and finally asked ChatGPT to find the best one in Anchorage. Emphasis on “lounge,” this is a clean, comfortable, modern (high tech) laundromat. Download the Speed Queen app and run the whole wash and dry through your phone. Haven’t been to a laundromat for years and this has been an excellent experience hands down. And did I mention a cafe? Five stars deserved.

Wow! A great concept, a "laundry lounge". Full service coffee, drinks, and snack food while you spend time washing your clothes.Tina, an employee at Quantum, was a working machine. She was never still, sweeping & mopping floors, polishing the stainless steel Speed Queen washers and dryers. Cleaning the glass doors. Hope the owner knows what a hard worker she is. It was by far the cleanest laundromat I have ever been to. You could pay by using a kiosk or downloading an app. Washer $6/30 minutes and dryer $2.50/25 minutes. All my clothes were dried by the end of the cycle, but my friend who had washed jeans needed a little more time. Clean bathrooms, a water bottle filling station, coffee and snacks, what more could you ask for? I was done with 2 loads in a little over an hour. Highly recommend!

Seriously one of nicest laundromats. Update: came on a Saturday, all large capacity machines are are full. 7 of out the 10 large machines were done but the owners of the laundry weren't in the building. Asked the counter about the wait to be able to move the laundry for others to use the machines, and the POLICY IS TO LEAVE ALL LAUNDRY ALONE UNTIL THE END OF THE DAY. GOOD NEWS IS KNOW YOUR STUFF IS SAFE FOR THE DAY IF YOU WANT TO GO SOMEWHERE AND CANT GET BACK FOR AWHILE. :-) The senior person at the shop confirmed with manager Hillary that this is an established practice. If that's the policy that's the policy. I will say when I voiced how this is an inconvenience to others, (calmly, but making a point) another worker rudely interrupt s my conversation and accuses me of being aggressive... for talking about a policy that alllows washing machines not be available to use....in a laundromat. Of course no answer when I asked how I was being aggressive.Just not allowed to talk about issues. Beautiful facility, but when there is an issue, dont expect great customer service as you will see in the other 1 star reviews. Not the end of the world, it is just laundry. I'll finish my credits on the app and be done :-)
