Crema's Take

B-Side is a convivial Decatur spot where espresso craftsmanship meets genuine hospitality, with an open kitchen that makes the whole coffee experience feel collaborative and fun. Their pastry case is the real showstopper—fresh-baked bagels with creative schmears and weekend donuts that people actually crave—paired with smooth, thoughtfully-pulled shots that anchor traditional drinks like their silky café au lait. It's the kind of place where you can linger over coffee and conversation, get accommodating with your order preferences, and leave feeling like you've joined something warm and unpretentious rather than just grabbed a drink.

B-Side Coffee in Atlanta is a gem! Fresh-baked goods, an open kitchen experience, and a warm, welcoming community vibe. They’re super flexible with substitutions, and the whole process is just fun. A must-visit breakfast spot!

We stopped by B-Side in Decatur and had such a great experience. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming — perfect for an easy morning or casual hangout. I had the café au lait, which was smooth and perfectly balanced, and the bagel with egg and bacon was absolutely amazing. Simple, done right, and incredibly satisfying. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Great coffee, great food, and a cool neighborhood feel. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Decatur.

GET THE DONUT 🍩 I got a SEC bagel, hot cocoa, cardamom bun, and Boston cream donut (weekends only). Bagel (6/10) was small but spicy with a yummy runny egg. Still I feel like I could've made it at home/wouldn't get again. Hot cocoa (2/10) was mostly milk, could barely taste the chocolate. Cardamom bun was okay, could use more flavor inside. But the donut (1000/10) was FABULOUS. Waited 45 min in line and 10 min to get my food. Love Downtown Decatur!

Best bagel I’ve ever had, and the apple cinnamon cream cheese was the cherry on top! The hot turkey and bacon sandwich was just as incredible. My only complaint? Parking is limited and pricey , but totally worth it for food this good.

The bagels here are seriously top-notch—I toasted them at home and made my own schmear, and they were absolutely perfect. I especially loved the everything bagel flavor—super flavorful and satisfying. The service was fine—nothing to rave about, but no complaints either. My biggest gripe? Having to pay $7.50 to park for less than 10 minutes. That definitely stung. Street parking might be a cheaper option, but that’s if you can even find a spot. Still, the bagels are worth it. Just plan ahead for parking and get there early if you want your pick of flavors—they do sell out!
