Crema's Take
“Nestled in Bend's creative arts district, Cafe2u punches above its weight with thoughtfully crafted specialty drinks like their standout pistachio cardamom latte, alongside a serious commitment to gluten-free baking that earns genuine praise from regulars. The European-rooted, contemporary American menu shines during weekend brunches with fresh pastries and creative sandwiches, though expect a wait—the intimate indoor space and outdoor patio fill quickly with folks who value quality over convenience. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where the espresso is precise, the marionberry cake is worth the line, and you'll find yourself lingering longer than planned.”

Amazing gluten free options! Loved the pistachio cardamom latte and marionberry cake (not pictured)
Such a great space! Nestled amongst a variety of artists and creative spaces is this bakery and coffee shop! Serves a flavorful drip coffee which i paired with a citrus & ginger scone. The selection was honestly overwhelming. If i could, i would try one of everything. Mostly couples here but we found space for 5 friends to nosh before shopping. Our point of sale associate was welcoming and efficient as were all the employees we quickly found out! A great Sunday morning had by all!
I hope you enjoy standing outside in direct sun for 30 minutes. This place was nearly empty inside when we arrived, however a line was formed and signage indicated that the only place to wait was on the sidewalk. Once inside, the service was quite slow and though they had a buzzer system, they only took one order at a time, making the next patron wait until pastries were handed out before greeting them. The wait between ordering and getting food was short, however nothing about either was particularly fantastic. Something needs to change for us to return. The fig and Brie sandwich was too sweet and drowned the cheese flavor. They followed my daughter’s drink order correctly though. The chicken focaccia sandwich had good flavor, but the general experience wasn’t good.
I love this small place with outdoor patio seats and friendly staffs. We went there on Sunday morning 8am and had to wait 30minutes, there was only 3teams ahead of us… i saw on a Reddit people said this place is the best pastries and it’s good but we are living in Orange County and I pay $5 for pastries but they are charging small bread pudding for $9. it was worth it to experience
A contemporary American flair with roots in Europe. An excellent brunch/breakfast. Fresh baked treats, pastries, and amazing sandwiches that will fix any person's hunger. Fresh coffee and espresso drinks No frills counter service with a friendly helpful staff. Small indoor seating area with more space outside. Expect a little wait. Parking is challenging. Prices are fair. A new favorite spot because of the croissant.
