When you’re traveling for work, finding a reliable "home base" for meetings is key. I stopped into Friedrichs Coffee for a meeting with a client, and I was so impressed that I made it my absolute last stop the next morning before heading out of town! The Vanilla Chai Latte: Hands down one of the best I’ve had. It was perfectly balanced—creamy, spiced, and not overly sweet. It was the perfect "comfort in a cup" for a busy morning. Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans: These were a total game-changer. They are the perfect "pick-me-up" snack, and the quality of the chocolate and the roast of the bean was awesome. Highly recommend grabbing a bag! Versatility: My first visit was for a client meeting, and the atmosphere was perfect—professional, yet welcoming. My second visit was a quick "grab-and-go" before hitting the road, and the service was just as fast and friendly. Consistency: The fact that I was craving that Chai again less than 24 hours later speaks for itself. Friedrichs has mastered the art of making you feel like a "local," even if you’re just passing through. Whether you need a quiet spot for a business chat or a top-tier caffeine fix for the road, Friedrichs is the gold standard in Des Moines. I’ll be back every time I’m in town!

Very kind and quick staff, super willing to explain what drinks are what and how they make them. Its always appreciated having a knowing staff! Drinks were amazing, got an energy drink while my boyfriend got their carmel top. Both delicious and made very quickly, no outrageous wait. Great first time experience, would come here again soon.

I have been a fan of Friedrichs for YEARS. Fantastic flavored coffee and great espresso. My husband insists we only buy their espresso beans for home. Today I stopped in the WDM location and it's such a nice spot! Lots of sun and the barista working the register today was super friendly. She suggested the tiramisu latte and it was FABULOUS. It is a special flavor for January so hurry in and try it out!

Stopped on a Sunday morning. Charming outside area with plantyvof seating. Inside also has plenty of seating. I was thrilled to be offered a triple shot cortado versus double. The service was pleasant and quick. The coffee flavor was excellent as that is what I seek.

Went here for the first time and LOVED it. The coffee was spectacular. It had great flavor and was good quality. They also have real mugs which is a must for me. It really elevates the coffee drinking experience. We tried the almond poppy seed loaf which was very tasty. The patio is so cute. Quite a few tables plus cute lights and plants to add to the ambiance. The staff was also very pleasant and patient. They have an extensive list of additional flavor options too. I will definitely be returning in the future.
