Top Out Cafe

Crema's Take
“Top Out Cafe is a genuinely welcoming spot where the baristas—and especially that warm hostess with the dark brown hair—make you feel like you belong from the moment you walk in. Their espresso-focused drinks are solid, but what sets them apart is the late-night availability, cozy industrial vibe with supremely comfortable chairs, and their excellent vegan grilled cheese paired with locally-sourced treats. Whether you're a laptop warrior needing reliable wifi and plenty of outlets or just looking for a chill place to hang with friends over creative cold brews, this Indianapolis gem delivers the kind of genuine human connection that makes coffee shops actually matter.”

The kind woman hostess with the dark brown hair was so down to earth. Literally made my entire day/ road trip. It was our first time in this state and felt so valued as a person. Literally one of those 1 in a 1000 souls that are so bright and kind and makes everyone's day positive and in effect probably makes the entire world a better place, starting from everyone's first morning coffee. Could go on and on how amazing this woman was personality wise, so genuine and you could truly tell she was happy to be there, and that employee alone would keep me as a repeat daily customer if I lived nearby.
I love this cafe. One of my favorite hang out spots. Awesome food and great people working here. Beer selections always change and are good. Seriously is a 5 star place and makes the Indy experience here that much better.
Suuuper chill place for studying, hanging out or work. The atmosphere is industrial chill. Our drinks and treats were delicious. The treats are delivered by a local place. The baristas were very friendly and personable. Will come again!
Best place to get a late night coffee! Their vegan grilled cheese is soooo good and the comfiest chairs. -EspressoTech Service Company
TL;DR - Food is decent, the place is spacious, there are plenty of power plugs, and the Internet is great for a cafe. Food: Croissant Breakfast Sandwich - The ingredients for this sandwich are very nice and good quality. Unfortunately, the croissant is WAY over buttered. It's almost sickening as the butter is dripping off of it. Maybe use a bit less butter and then this sandwich is perfect. Americano - Many coffee shops mess this up by using water that is too hot (causing it to be excessively acidic). I've only been here once but the Americano came out great. It tastes like one should. Thank you. Amenities: Power Plugs - There are a lot of plugs on the tables making it easy to charge your devices. If you're someone who frequents cafes, invest in a GAN charger like the one shown. They have high wattage outputs and allow for using less plugs. Internet - For being a cafe, the internet speeds are quite acceptable. I was impressed with the speeds. Unlike other cafes, they still allow for the use of streaming services and YouTube on their WiFi. This is especially useful for people who use YouTube Music.
