Crema's Take

Café Santo brings authentic Oaxacan flavors to San Gabriel with drinks that actually stand out, like their celebrated mocha with deep chocolate notes that isn't cloyingly sweet and creative seasonal lattes such as Arroz Tatemado that show real care in the recipe development. The kitchen matches the coffee quality with vibrant breakfast dishes like perfectly spiced chilaquiles and French toast, all crafted with fresh ingredients and a friendliness that makes you want to return again and again.

Everything is great, chilaquiles looks so good but they’re so spicy you cannot even taste the flavors of anything else but chile other than that 10/10

Continues to be a winner. They gave added breakfast choices. Went with the chilaquiles and they were good and spicy. Coffee is the bomb.

This little Oaxacan-style café serves the best mocha I’ve had in ages. It’s not too sweet and has this deep chocolate flavor that pairs perfectly with their pan dulce. The baristas are friendly and the vibe is chill. There’s limited seating, but the patio is really nice on cool mornings. Great spot to start your day quietly before the city wakes up.

This is too good! 😋 Really like everything I’ve tried from here. Love the Oaxacan Mocha (left). It has a nice nutty and cocoa flavor and not too sweet! The Arroz Tatemado Latte (right) is a little more subtle in flavor. Tastes like a very lightly sweetened, nutty horchata. The chilaquiles were pretty good too! Nice and crunchy and just the right amount of salsa. Be aware they have a bit of a kick to them 🔥but still so worth trying!!

Everything was fresh and delicious, can't stop thinking about the French toast and grilled cheese! The arugula and balsamic paired perfectly with the grilled cheese I wish they had tomato soup! I'm not a coffee person but I had like an iced hot chocolate and it was fantastic! The service was smiling and friendly! 10/10 my new favorite breakfast spot
