French Truck Coffee

Crema's Take
“French Truck Coffee captures the casual soul of New Orleans with a genuine backyard charm and some of the best chicory coffee in the city—a local gem that opens early for those seeking quality over chains. While service can be inconsistent, the espresso-focused menu, stellar pour overs, and excellent pastries paired with that easy outdoor seating make it worth a visit, especially if you're exploring the nearby museums and want to linger over a proper cup.”

The woman working with brown chair and glasses was rude. Didn’t want to answer questions and didn’t seem to want to be there, almost an eye roll. This was my first experience at French Truck, and not a great first impression. After I ordered she also tried to upsell everything. The inside wasn’t anything special, industrial feel with some tables and plastic chairs. It did have an outdoor area with chairs. The coffee itself was decent above average, and ham and cheese croissant was decent. Water dispenser with cups was warm not good water.
Tasty pastry and delicious coffee. Backyard seating was great with a good weather to enjoy breakfast right before WWII Museum. Staff was nice.
Good quality coffee in the area. Open since 7 am, perfect to start the day. Friendly staff and quick service.
First of all, best chicory coffee that I had in New Orleans! My coworkers and I visited French Truck Coffee on June 14th. We actually had the unique privilege of meeting several of their team members later that day at Coffee Fest! Anyway, back to the review! I ordered the New Orleans Iced Coffee and it was sooo good!! The team member that took our order was very friendly and kind. The atmosphere was amazing! They have plenty of seating indoor and out! Their patio area is so cute!! Loved the atmosphere. Loved the overall experience! Thank you, French Truck Coffee!
After dropping our friends off for their cruise, my husband and I were on the hunt for coffee. Yes, there was a Starbucks close by, but I wanted to try something new and someplace local. A quick search led me here, and we were very glad we visited. The place looks small on the outside but is very roomy inside with a spacious and beautiful outdoor patio. The entire space is bright and airy and is a great place to relax before starting your day. The young woman behind the counter was very helpful in answering my questions, and our coffee came out quickly. If you are visiting the area, do yourself a favor and give French Truck Coffee a try. It's a welcome change from the usual stand-by!
