Crema's Take
“Extraordinary Desserts is a luxurious destination where showstopping cake slices and creative pastries genuinely live up to the hype—customers rave about unique, beautifully balanced flavors that don't overwhelm with sweetness. The elegant atmosphere makes it feel like the perfect spot for marking special occasions or treating yourself, though be prepared for premium pricing and service that can be inconsistent depending on when you visit.”

Extremely disappointing food and dismissive service — not worth the luxury price We really wanted to love Extraordinary Desserts and have visited twice now, hoping our first experience was just an off night. Unfortunately, the high price tag continues to feel disconnected from both the quality of the food and the level of service. On our first visit, we ordered the Pavlova, which was so hard and stale that we couldn't even cut through it with a knife. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we returned and tried the Crème Brûlée Bun. It was even worse—the bread was dry and incredibly hard, as if it had been sitting out for three days. We had to carve out sections to eat from it. Honestly, the quality was lower than what you’d find at a budget grocery store. To make matters worse, the staff has a distinct attitude. Instead of the warm, high-end hospitality you expect at these prices, the service felt dismissive and cold. At $20+ per person , you expect a celebratory experience, but we left feeling like an inconvenience. We won't be returning. There are plenty of other high-end dessert spots that offer actual fresh food and a welcoming atmosphere.
Nice litte with good desert lunch menu is okay but the drinks and sweets are very good. I recommend a hot chocolate a la mode, my daughter got the lover girl pot of Tea and a grilled cheese which is really good. You should also try portobello cheese with crackers it is also delicious. And all the sweets are good.
The desserts here are really extraordinary ! No doubt about it ! The cake slices we got were delicious, not too sweet and very unique in flavor. This place is definitely worth checking out if you're craving something sweet and delicious. You will not regret it !
If you are looking for an exceptional Dessert place then this is probably as exceptionally close you can get :) We’ve always enjoyed desserts at this location. You must try all of them! The customer service is great and the ambience is perfect for enjoying a nice dessert or a beverage after a hearty meal… Mmmmm delicious!!!
First time visiting. This is the place that you go to for special occasions, just because, after a romantic date, or just looking for a luxurious dessert spot. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Nothing I have ever seen out of a dessert restaurant in all of San Diego. They are doing all the desserts with red rose petals (Which are not edible by the way trust me I’ve tried and it taste sour). They also have array of different desserts So you will definitely find something for you and yours there. I got the birthday Cookie and the twist on tiramisu. The birthday cookie was five out of five stars. It was one of the best birthday cookies I’ve ever had. But the tiramisu was not as good as I thought it would be; it was more whipped cream on top and soggy on the bottom. The birthday cookie was $7 And the tiramisu was $17. Overall, a good experience and I definitely recommend. I’ll be back to try other things.
