Crema's Take
“This 18-year Bellingham institution nails the balance between serious espresso craft and genuine hospitality, earning consistent praise for both excellent mochas and thoughtful service that makes you feel equally welcome whether you're working alone or meeting friends. The cozy setup—complete with a welcoming couch area and abundant seating—creates the kind of warm, unpretentious atmosphere where regulars linger for hours, and even first-time visitors immediately feel at home. While the air could use some ventilation work, the quality pastries, light food, and espresso-forward drinks at fair prices make this a reliable neighborhood anchor worth the return visit.”

Warm atmosphere and service. Great drinks, average prices for the area. Lots of seating with tables and a couch area. I meet friends here, and come here alone to get work done regularly. Love it. It's also open later than a lot of other coffee shops, which is really nice
Never been in there before but I just got off of the bus coming from downtown at the Amtrak. I guess because I had sweatpants on and a hoodie because it would be a little chilly outside rolling my suitcase with a backpack. I got to look from everybody going in and thinking that I'm some homeless person I didn't know where the line started because there was an end in the beginning I guess. The owner which I believe was making the sandwiches and he was delivering my sandwich before people that ordered mine and just threw it on the table I said Thank you and just kept walking away never said anything. I said something to one of the people to counter which were nice and told them after getting off at 12 hour flight and 2 hour train ride I was tired and I didn't know where the line started I've never been there before. All in all sandwiches okay kind of overpriced but it is what it is
Excellent coffee and great service. Their mochas are very tasty. Tried the vegetarian sandwich and that was tasty as well but a bit too salty! The air inside is a bit stuffy and needs slightly better ventilation especially in winter
I found out today this business has been open 18 years. This means I have missed 17 years of enjoying the pastries, sandwiches, coffee, and atmosphere. It is my second time here and I have to share for others that may not venture to the downtown area. Since the location is across from the bus station, it is easy to get to. While it takes me forever to decide on which pastry(s) to choose from, that results in more reasons to come back. There are many tables to chose from and lots of small meetings, friends gathering, and solo customers enjoying the laid back atmosphere. Today I couldn't decide, so veggie sandwich here and a couple pastries to take home. The menu is simple and but has something for everyone. Oh,and if you ever want to enjoy perfect focaccia, this is your place.
I’m not going to pretend to be a foodie and write some long review. But as a Chef, who has lived in Italy north and south, and spent time in France, north and south, I can say this place does a wonderful job. These photos were taken at 6:30 am so it’s not a bad idea to just show up fairly early.
