Qahwah House - Oak Creek / Milwaukee
7981 S 6th St, Greenfield, WI
Crema's Take
“Qahwah House brings authentic specialty coffee culture to Milwaukee with an impressive focus on traditional and innovative brewing methods, from personal pots of pour-over coffee to vibrant matcha lattes, paired with thoughtfully made pastries like basbosa and pistachio dream that honor Middle Eastern traditions. The intimate, well-maintained space upstairs creates a genuinely convivial atmosphere where you can settle in for hours—whether studying, meeting friends, or simply savoring a slow cup—and the warm, attentive staff make you feel genuinely welcomed every time you walk through the door.”

Delicious -real- coffee, tea, and sweets. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and convivial, and the staff are equally so. Every time I stop in I like to get the personal pot of coffee, sit in, and stay for some time to read or work. While it can be lively some nights, it's extremely easy to find your own slice of comfort. Try the sweets if you can, but let the coffee (or tea) speak for itself first. Arabic light or Turkish dark are my go to, and a little sugar goes a long way. A real treat of a place :)
Beautiful presentation of the food and coffee. The space is well maintained, and perfect for some alone time or with friends. I enjoyed the unique flavors. It is definitely not like any other coffee shop. It was my first time coming and I let the server know. My only disappointment is the lack of energy or joy in the employees. Both girls looked like they didnt want to be there. I imagine the owner has a beautiful vision for this place, the experience would instantly level up with excellent customer service.
Pastries are fresh, and matcha is high quality and vibrant. Though it’s a small shop it’s a great place to study and take break from the wisconsin winters. If you’re looking to support your local small businesses I recommend!
The basbosa, is moist cake that is hard to make and Qahwah house nailed it. Very delicious and goes well with Yemeni coffee. We also tried pistachio dream, which was out of this world. This is a great spot in Oak Creek to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
My first time here. I had a yummy lavender iced matcha and a toasted feta spinach croissant. Both were very good. I enjoyed the cozy seating upstairs. My only dislike was the temperature in the building. A bit too cold for me.
