Crema's Take
“This Glendale gem radiates genuine warmth from the moment you walk in, with staff who are genuinely excited to share their knowledge about their coffee and baking process rather than just taking your order. The pastries are clearly a labor of love—fresh, abundant, and worth lingering over with a thoughtfully made specialty drink in their inviting space that feels equally suited for a quick solo coffee or a leisurely breakfast with family and friends.”

Had such a great experience here. The service was great, they were very friendly & informative about their processes and products. They have lots of great bakery options & gave us samples when we came in! They have a pretty spacious seating area, and fresh flowers at each table. Will definitely be visiting again!
I’m really glad I finally stopped in this past weekend at Blue Corn Bakery . The staff was warm and welcoming and this bakery had been on my list for a long time, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I had the honey lavender latte and it was absolutely delicious and the bacon cheddar egg croissant sandwich was amazing as well. I also had the opportunity to try the cheesecake, which was absolutely divine. The vanilla whipped cream took it completely over the top — truly one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had. It was so good I finished it and took the other half of my breakfast sandwich to go! A zucchini muffin went home with me as well and it was recommended that I warm it up before eating and it was so good. I really enjoyed my interaction with the owner, Nick, who was friendly and eager to share information about the bakery and how everything is made from scratch. I enjoyed everything about my visit and will definitely be going back for more.
Immediately when they opened we were told what pastries and sweets they had in store for us !! and when walking inside we were greated with the most friendliest atmosphere!! the chef (didn't catch his name) handed us free muffins as we walked in, and they were to die for !! chocolate, ube, and strawberry and they were fresh out of the oven- the softest muffin ive ever had !! ordering the honey lavender iced coffee and the lemon meringue tart was the best option possible!! my mom ordered a egg, ham and cheese croissant and it was the right amount of savory sandwich you could ask for !! I am definitely coming back here when I stop in glendale
We were in the area and I wanted to grab a coffee, so my kiddo found two different places and I chose Blue Corn because it sounded lovely. From the moment we walked in, it felt so warm and welcoming! There were people sitting everywhere and their display is WOW!! They have croissant sandwiches, homemade muffins with very unique flavors, cheesecakes, mini cheesecakes, coffee drinks, quiche, and homemade sourdough bread. I think there was even cinnamon buns. I tried to take it all in, but I was so excited I couldn’t focus….lol. Service was a 10 out of 10 and the ladies behind the counter maneuvered without skipping a beat whether it was making coffee or taking an order. What I thought was so very personable was Nick, the owner. He came out to greet and welcome us. We told him it was our first time, so he was kind enough to let us try the quiche and a mini cheesecake tart. It was the best quiche I’ve ever had and my kiddo ate it up even though she does not like quiche one bit! He also checked in on us while we enjoyed our coffee and yummy bakery items. I had a hazelnut latte and my kiddo had a cappuccino. We also purchased a strawberry muffin and a pear and cardamom muffin to take home. The pear and cardamom muffin is the best muffin I’ve ever had, and my kiddo said the same thing! The place was buzzing consistently while we sat and watched regulars flow in and out. I even had the pleasure of speaking to a regular who was there reading. She was just so sweet. I told her I don’t blame her for coming back regularly as I would too if I lived closer! Blue Corn is about a 35 minute drive from where I live, but I will absolutely drive out to enjoy these amazing bakery items and coffee again. Definitely a 10 out of 10 all around!!! We are looking forward to our next visit and will definitely bring friends next time!
This wasn’t our intended destination today, but after running into a lack of service at a nearby venue, we stumbled upon this diamond in the rough—and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the service was phenomenal, and the food somehow managed to be even better. The tomato bisque soup and caprese panini were absolutely delicious. We also couldn’t resist trying the, quiche, croissant breakfast sandwich, chocolate chip cookie, lemon blueberry muffin, pumpkin tart, and pistachio tart—every single item was outstanding. The sourdough bread, however, truly stole the show. It is hands down the best I’ve ever had. I was so impressed that I bought four loaves to ship home! My daughter & granddaughter enjoyed their coffee drinks, the honey lavender latte and strawberry vanilla latte, both had great flavor! I highly recommend this place, it was totally worth the drive from Sedona!
