Dooped on Charlotte

Not a great experience with a coffee shop. I will list pros & cons. Pros: The staff member was kind and apologetic. Cons: 1) Coffee made by robot, not human 2) Coffee was not great-tasting. Mid-to-low. 3) Spouse was unable to actually purchase a donut because we were literally unable to verify allergy information-- there is no allergy list on the website, the staff member did not have a list, and said they had to "call someone" who would know and despite multiple attempts to reach said person there was no answer. I feel like this is very important info to have on hand and should not be dependent on one unreachable human to answer allergen info. 4) Unable to get a physical receipt even when asking for one. I have to say that I was not impressed and will not be back. I recommend the nearby Red Hook for better tasting coffee made by humans with on-hand allergy info.

My kids loved watching the robot make our coffee! Malika was a rockstar and super friendly. We had to try each donut, it was a tie at which one was our favorite! I love that Detroit has this gem. Next time, I definitely plan on buying some of the cute apparel. (Locally owned too!!) We stopped here after shopping at Eastern Market, can’t wait to get back.

REVIEW FOR DONUTS ONLY! I love Dooped Donuts, but since the Congregation no longer sells them, I had to make the voyage over to get my fill! I love their chocolate sprinkle donut so much. Bonus: this location has free parking!

Greedy young people from out of state who want to rip off the Oakland A's logo, use new technology to avoid hiring people, and charge california prices on Detroit goods ($4 donut??) to rip off people here. They're going to fail like Founder's did before them, because after the novelty of the first time wears off people won't come. They have nothing actually good going on. Pizza/Beer/Donuts are all mid, overpriced, non-competitive with local market of quality food.

My partner & I have been going to dooped on broadway since they opened and we were stoked to have a location closer to us. The cashier was great & the donuts always are, however we made the mistake of ordering 2 iced chais. To our surprise a robot arm started to make the drink. I’m sitting in the shop going on 20 minutes of the machine malfunctioning over and over while trying to make 2 ICED CHAIS. it would take a person less than 3 minutes. I will not be supporting somewhere that tries to replace the art of coffee-making with a depressing machine that DOESNT EVEN WORK. The cashier rung us up for 2 iced chais but the machine made 2 dirty chais. After the first one was made, I asked if the second one could be regular and the cashier said she had to wait until it finished the second dirty chai in order to start it over and make the regular chai. So waiting another 20 minutes for the dirty chai I didn’t order and then however long it takes for it to make a regular chai. It’s actually comical how poorly the robot works when this could’ve been a 5 minute process now we’re going on a half hour bc I’m not leaving without my $14 worth of drinks 🙄
