Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

There is no better spot in Portland for a hearty breakfast. The couple that owns and runs this place are kind and warm. They will feed you well and make you feel like family. I am truly thankful for their hospitality and encouragement.

Sweet Husband and Wife… so quaint and nostalgic. Was staying in walking distance, and came in with my Grand-daughter. We had the most delicious pancakes we have ever eaten, and even ordered some to go!!! The steak and eggs were delish. Perfect sunny side up eggs. So hard to find…
John’s coffee shop is everything you want in a breakfast place. Food, service, and atmosphere were perfect. Could not recommend this place enough. Very hard to come by this kind of diner these days.
this place was such a nice little cafe, very homey. the lentil soup and sandwich were delicious! the potatoes were okay. the owners are very sweet and the vibes are awesome
