Crema's Take
“Cortado BC is a cozy Phoenix spot where craft espresso meets comfort food, with a genuinely impressive spread of house-made pastries and breakfast items that justify the slightly higher price point. The vibe balances serious coffee work with a warm, Instagram-worthy interior that draws laptop warriors and friends meeting up alike, and regulars rave about thoughtful touches like their homemade sausage and fresh, quality ingredients across the board. It's the kind of place where you can tell the team cares about both their espresso technique and making sure your breakfast bagel feels like it was built with intention.”

The food was great. I got a breakfast bagel; turkey, bacon, tomato, and cream cheese on a sesame bagel. Good portion, fresh ingredients, and worth the $10ish price. My friend got a pulled pork sandwich on a burger bun that she said was very tasty. It was accompanied by a smallish sized styrofoam dish of potato salad. The price for her sandwich (that was about the same size as my bagel) and the roughly 1/3 cup sized portion of potato salad was $15ish. That little bit of potatoes, onions, and mayo was not worth another five dollars in my opinion. The atmosphere inside was nice but the music was loud and we wanted to catch up so we sat at one of the outdoor tables.
Who is leaving the positive reviews? This place may have been decent at one point but certainly isn’t now. They were training someone new which is fine and as such, the service was slow. The atmosphere is okay but the food is downright terrible. The bagels are not homemade, they’re clearly store bought and were old and gross. Fluffy tasteless bread is not a bagel. And the smoked salmon didn’t look anything like what I saw in the photos. It was poor quality and unappetizing. What a waste of $14. Yes, $14!!!! No non-dairy cream cheese options btw. The orange juice was good but again, extremely overpriced. Same with the lemonade. Ridiculously expensive place that doesn’t warrant the high prices. The tuna was meh, and again, extremely expensive and I had no idea how much it was going to be as they didn’t have prices on them. All of that for $45????? Would not recommend and am so perplexed that they get good reviews. I did not have the coffee however.
This place is unreal. Interior is so cute, and their baked goods selection is so wide. The interior was so cute and people were here studying and working off of their laptops. But the star of the show was this green chile pork burrito. The pork fell apart and was SO soft and flavorful. And the lady working the counter was so friendly and accommodating. What a treat to have done breakfast here.
This place is lovely! Very vast menu selections, many pastries & breakfast options. I got the lox bagel, it was amazing!
The photos speak for themselves. Delicious, comforting, and lovely. Their sausage pictured in the breakfast bagel is homemade, as are all of their desserts.
