Around The World Bakery
119 N 12th St, Waco, TX
Crema's Take
“Around The World Bakery pairs a genuinely impressive seasonal drink menu with a spacious, thoughtfully decorated space that feels equally suited to lingering solo with a laptop or meeting friends over pastries. The baking is clearly their pride—reviewers rave about custom cakes and "fantastic treats"—though it's worth noting the pricing skews higher and service experiences vary. It's a lovely, aesthetically pleasing spot in Waco that shines brightest if you're after their specialty beverages and made-to-order baked goods rather than quick, budget-friendly coffee.”

Fantastic treats! Location is awesome, quiet.
I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter and I am very happy I chose your bakery. The cake was exactly how my daughter wanted. I am a very pleased customer and I especially appreciate your flexibility for honoring my daughter’s flavor. For that, I am extremely grateful and would without any doubt recommend your business to anyone who wants great products with excellent customer service. Thank you Amy
Fantastic bakery with tons of variety and an super fun seasonal drink menu. Spacious with good seating and cute decor - a great place to hang out.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. We were excited to fit it into our trip to Waco, but the experience was disappointing from the moment we swiped our card to the moment we walked out. We picked out pastries and ordered the cutest Halloween-themed coffee flight. After paying, I stood there awkwardly as the cashier and another staff member went back and forth about not knowing how to make the drinks. I decided to sit down and wait, thinking, “The flavors sound great—how bad could it be?” Sadly, the answer was terrible. The $16 coffee flight was undrinkable; we could only manage a couple of sips from two of the drinks. To make matters worse, I saw the barista lick her finger while preparing drinks. We politely asked someone behind the counter to dump our untouched drinks so they wouldn’t overflow the cans. She seemed confused but didn’t ask why all the cups were still full. On the pastry side, the Tres Leches cake was fantastic—light, moist, and flavorful. Unfortunately, the Dubai chocolate brownie and French silk pie were disappointing. The brownie was dry and crispy, while the pie slice looked stale, with the edges darkened from sitting pre-sliced in its container. Overall, it was a sad experience because we had such high hopes. I’m hoping this was just a one-time fluke.
The place is super cute and very aesthetically pleasing, but with my experience today, I have to say I am a bit disappointed. The prices are extremely high for what they are offering. Not only that, I ordered the Dubai chocolate brownie , and let me just say I had to spit it out. Not just me, but two of my family members tried it as well and did the same exact thing. The brownie was dry and tasted old. The taste lingered in my mouth way too long. I couldn’t even taste the Dubai chocolate. I still want to give this place a shot so hopefully next time my experience is better.
