First visit was great and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The second visit made me realize that the drinks are not consistent. Additionally, it was a very cold weekend and it was difficult to study inside the cafe because of the low temperature. The fans were on and it didn’t seem that the room was being heated.
There's a lot to love about this coffee shop. It's in a great location, it has a friendly staff, and the flavor of the coffee is excellent; BUT, the coffee is consistently served lukewarm at best when I go in the mornings. In the winter this is particularly disappointing. If this place could serve a hot cup of coffee, it would hands down be my favorite coffee shop in town.
Very nice and spacious coffee shop with multiple seating options: single seats facing the windows, a large 20 seating area for groups, various 4 seat tables, and a relaxed couch and chair. Decor includes many plants, patterned ceilings, whimsical chandeliers, and wood flooring. Seating areas and coffee prep areas are clean, the rest of the food serving area look a bit messy. Coffee prices are good, better than most places in Champaign-Urbana area. Barista is friendly and experienced. Coffee orders for the cafe can be ordered with stoneware cups or mugs.
I love it here. Very calm and beautiful. The coffee is great.
Elm City Coffee is an awesome place to spend time. Great selection of teas, coffee options, and pastries. The lighting, plants, and delicious smells make the ambiance very appealing! I will return again! 🥰🪴🌿
