Inviting coffee bar with attentive staff. Very peaceful atmosphere. Unique flavors and specials.
Coffee is EXCELLENT, some of the best in the city. Added flavors are made in house and unique. Atmosphere awesome! I love the patio spaces, its honestly changed the neighborhood! Owner is awesome and super friendly. The breakfast burritos used to be my go to, they were affordable and tasted great. Recently they’ve added less and less inside them, tastes like just potato & tortilla. Bummer, BUT still an incredible place I wont stop raving about!! I LOVE ROAST! Great job you guys!! Clap clap!
Walking in it’s a vibe, which sets the stage for your nose and eyes to fall in love with anything on their menu. I’ve had lattes, chai spicy (it is spicy), and pastries. My reason for not giving them five stars is that every time I’ve come in the pastries are cold not fresh and the burritos are just ok, nothing I would make a trip for. I can appreciate the hard work of the baristas taking their time in handing you a hand crafted delight. Steps are made not store bought and the place is very chill. Big plus the restrooms are clean, unlike named brand coffee shops. Kudos to you all and keep up the work. Lastly, prices are great!
Very nice neighborhood coffee spot. The coffee is smooth and tasty. They also have a range of pastries, breakfast sandwiches and burritos plus lunch items. The pastry I had today was very good. It was flaky with seeds and a custard filling - a bit different from the usual. Service was very good. It was fast and friendly. A plus is that the guy calling out the filled orders had a loud enough voice to clearly hear him from the seating. The space is in an older but comfortable building. There's art on the walls for sale. They do have password protected Wi-Fi for guests which several people were using. Parking is on street and may be difficult to find although there was an open spot when I was there.
I stopped at Roast coffee on my way to the Market at the Park-et at Washington Park. It was gorgeously painted in jeweled green and clean as can be. They serve Kyoto cold brew! I ended up getting their Orange Blossome ice latte and a coffee cake, deliciously sweet and creamy. The coffee cake was great, a bice mellow companion to my coffee. Though I had a bite of the "Marci" sandwich and incredibly. Sweet and savory with a kick of chili fig jam. Not to mention the perfect crunch of sourdough bread. The Brie in it was perfectly melt. Don't sleep on this sandwich. If you're hungry, it's a bit sandwich too.
