Dogwood Coffee
4021 E Lake St, Minneapolis, MN
Crema's Take
“Dogwood is a beloved neighborhood spot where skilled espresso work shines through in their signature creative drinks like the standout Bear Hug latte and meticulously crafted latte art that hints at real care in every cup. The medium-sized space strikes that perfect balance between being a serious working coffee shop and a welcoming gathering place for regulars, complete with dog-friendly vibes and outdoor seating that makes it feel like a natural extension of the Minneapolis community. There's a warmth here that goes beyond the coffee—staff clearly know their people, and the quality of their roasts paired with thoughtful touches like complimentary fizzy water show they're thinking about the whole experience.”

Nice medium sized coffee shop offering a good place to work, hang out, and obviously have some great coffee. Their Bear Hug lattes were excellent. Highly recommend.
I love this location. Always a steady line of people coming through. The service is really great, and you can tell they have a great rapport with their regulars. Can be a little slow to get your drink so I don’t recommend if you’re in a rush. The chia pudding is made in house and came with the freshest blueberries. I like to get the Fogwood special when I come here which is a tea latte. Plenty of tables with outlets.
Dogwood is a nice coffee shop! Their roasts are very high quality and the space here is great. It seems like a good spot to catch up with a friend or get a little work done. I ordered one of their seasonal drinks—a brown sugar cardamom latte—and found it to be a little light on the flavor for my preference, but it was definitely still a solid latte with great ingredients. My partner had a drip coffee and said this was very tasty and brewed well. While their price points are on the higher end for coffee in the Twin Cities, you are definitely paying for the high quality you are getting. I also thought the merch they had for sale was awesome—I love their logo and all the graphics they use. It's a really attractive design and I love how they have it printed on their roast beans as well as their to-go cups. Overall this is a solid place and I recommend checking it out if you're in the area!
The location wasn't hard to find, plus you just parked on the streets. There were tables and chairs outside as well, I love the first roll of the seats or the front seats because it looks like Korean Ramen restaurant where they have walls between and its small seat for one person plus they have the lights. Make you feel like in a library or home doing homework but also have coffee and breads. It's good for studying and homework. See the last picture. That's what I'm talking about it.
Standout for one of the more elaborate latte artwork I’ve seen recently. Latte art doesn’t equate to a great shop, but it shows someone cares. And a little fizzy water on the side is a nice touch. Nice place, I like the two person tables with lights and outlets. On street parking, little brother to the shop in NE. A good place for coffee and work.
