Inkwell Booksellers

Crema's Take
“Tucked into a Northeast Minneapolis bookstore, Inkwell pairs thoughtfully crafted espresso drinks with natural light filtering through floor-to-ceiling shelves, creating an irresistible spot to linger with a book and a pistachio oat milk latte. The cozy, dog-friendly space wins hearts with its resident pup Captain Jack and baristas who clearly care about both their craft and making guests feel welcome, though seating is snug so arriving early pays off. Whether you're settling in for deep work or a leisurely afternoon, this charmed hybrid feels like the indie coffee-and-books destination Minneapolis has been waiting for.”

We love coming to Inkwell. The coffee shop in-house with all the natural light hitting the stacks makes you want to stay awhile and get immersed in your favorite book… or two.
Very cozy space to enjoy a drink and the company of the resident dog, Captain Jack. Free wifi and plenty of outlets make it a good space to get work done as well.
Excited to have this place in NE. Five stars for the concept alone. There are not too many seating options, so it may be hard to get a table. Their coffee was on the darker side, so it’s not my ideal coffee taste, but I’ll definitely be back for books.
I came across this bookshop on Instagram and had to stop in. They’re still new and getting everything set up, but you can already tell it’s going to become a staple in Minneapolis. Great selection of books and some really fun bookish items. I also grabbed a pomegranate Italian soda while I was there—so good. I’ll definitely be back.
I’m in love. Coffee + books always go together, but this is a particularly charmed place. I got a pistachio oat milk latte that was well crafted by a very friendly barista. What I enjoyed most was the curated book selection at this shop. There weren’t just any books here, there seemed to be a hard emphasis on books featuring topics such as women empowerment, queer romance, non-traditional relationships, animals, immigrants, climate change, domestic violence, mental health and many other less common and sometimes controversial fiction book topics. I was here for almost two hours 🙄 Also outgoing bookish dogs are welcome here.
