Crema's Take

Dancing Goats is a convivial Midtown spot that takes its espresso seriously while staying refreshingly unpretentious—their matcha is genuinely excellent, and the pastry selection (pumpkin scones included) pairs perfectly with their specialty drinks. The dog-friendly patio and MARTA-adjacent location make it an ideal gathering place for both quick coffee runs and lingering laptop sessions, though you'll want to give the baristas grace during busy afternoon rushes when complexity occasionally creeps into simple orders.

Got a large Americano and was told after they gave it to me that they short changed me a shot of espresso as I began walking out. If the barista is in training that is fine but it is a simple drink and they handed it to me after the cashier told her she didn’t put enough in it. Taking my drink back after you handed it to me is also a health code violation. Not the first time I have been skimped at this location but will be the last. Go to dancing goats on North Ave if you want this coffee.

Ordered 4 shots of espresso around 3:30pm to make a cocktail in the evening. Staff called out a double shot, but other staff member corrects her and says it's four shots. I walk up and it is obviously only a double shot. I asked her to confirm that is four shots and both staff members say "yes, it's four." I needed it in a larger cup that I could put a lid on, and when I poured the espresso in the 8oz cup, it filled up the bottom inch or so. I asked AGAIN to confirm this is 4 shots instead of a double, and they say no again. A small taste showed these were clearly not ristretto shots, which would justify the lack of volume in the shot. I'm now faced with a conundrum: do I accept this incorrect assertion, and go about my day not receiving what I paid for, or do I become the kind of person that argues with the already somewhat rude staff after being told objectively incorrect information twice. I chose the former, but the experience did not leave me. In order to prove to myself that I am not crazy, I got a double shot at a different coffee shop, which is pictured in this review on the left. Despite their efforts at gaslighting, I know what a double shot looks like, as any person who has worked in a coffee shop will. What could have been a simple miscommunication became a very odd situation in which the staff dug their heels in. Obviously, I will not be coming back.

Caribou and Starbucks type of place. The Italian espresso machine in the pics makes it seem more craft/hip than it is. Still predictable coffee, WiFi, and prices of a big box coffee chain Dance club music?

Very conveniently located at Midtown MARTA stop. Did have to wait but I figure other people must like their coffee so I didn't mind. They had 2 cash registers going so it went quick. I stopped at 7 30am on Tuesday, saw a lot of professionals. Several groups drank their coffee at the tables and were taking time to socialize. 80's Rock was playing, a little loud. Not my favorite but they didn't ask me to DJ ;). I would come back for the coffee if I am close to MidTown Atlanta.
