Pavement Coffeehouse
1350 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA
Crema's Take
“Pavement Coffeehouse is a neighborhood fixture where espresso pulls matter as much as lingering conversations do, drawing a steady mix of regulars and laptop warriors into its welcoming space. The menu balances classic espresso-driven drinks with creative specialty offerings and matcha preparations, while fresh pastries and a genuinely unhurried vibe make it feel less like a coffee transaction and more like settling into someone's living room. It's the kind of place where you can spend hours without feeling rushed, whether you're meeting a friend or getting work done.”
What to expect
Espresso-focused, matcha and tea options too. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Pastries on the menu.

I have worked service jobs my whole life so I want to cut them some slack but my experience was ridiculous. I ordered a drink and bagel and it took 20-30 mins to get. Which would be understandable if it was a rush and I ordered in the *middle* of a rush and they were all served…
Purchased a Plain Bagel with Plain Cream Cheese and a Chai Latte. Bagel was good. It was toasted well and was spread with enough cream cheese. The latte was okay, I asked for vanilla syrup and honestly the flavor wasn't there. Would like to give it another shot.
