Crema's Take

Avanti is a vibrant food hall on Pearl Street where you can graze through multiple cuisines—Mediterranean, Japanese, American, and arepas—while sipping specialty drinks from their coffee shop and bars, making it perfect for groups with different tastes. The rooftop area with its fire pit and views is particularly special for a slower, more social experience, though the food portions run modest for the price. It's the kind of place that shines as a gathering spot where you can linger over a creative coffee drink while friends order from different stalls.

ONE STAR. Avanti Boulder had a preventable safety issue, then management blamed the guests. Tonight (Jan 31, 2026) our group of five sat at the rooftop fire pit area at Avanti Boulder. The flame was active enough that we were already keeping our drinks and personal items pushed back. We ordered fries. The server brought them out and set them down close to the open flame. During the course of our drinks we noticed the fries had caught fire at the table. I put the fire out immediately with water. When your food ignites at a restaurant table, that is not a “normal mistake.” It is a safety failure and a basic service breakdown. What made this experience unacceptable was the response. No one asked if we were okay. No one apologized. The first reaction we got was essentially, “Nothing can be done about the fries.” We were not demanding anything. We asked what accommodations would be made because we ended up with fries exposed to fire, ash, and melted plastic from the container. This was a seven-dollar, fixable problem. Replace the fries, apologize, and move the food away from the flame. Done. Instead, the assistant manager, Kayla, came out with a hostile, accusatory attitude and blamed us for “putting them near an open flame,” even though the food was placed where it was delivered. There was zero empathy, zero curiosity, and zero ownership. Another manager backed that stance without asking questions. Accidents happen. The way management responds tells you what kind of place it is. Avanti Boulder turned a small, fixable issue into an uncomfortable confrontation. I would not recommend the rooftop fire pit seating, and based on how this was handled, I would not recommend this place.

Amazing food hall on Pearl Street. They have Mediterranean, Japanese, American, and Arepa place, a coffee shop, and two full bars. The downstairs is where the majority of the food stalls are but there is a bar on the rooftop that provides unmatched views of the mountains. If you stop in, make sure you get the falafel at BOYCHIK, you won’t be disappointed. This is also a great place to have a drink and watch a CU or Broncos game!

It's a nice spot but not remarkable the portions from the two stalls I ordered were small for the price I think there are better choices in the area The food was good, but the place has more of a quick-meal vibe. It doesn’t feel as cozy as similar spots I’ve visited in other states … that was the impression I got

Bustling modern food court with lots of options. Great for a group with varied tastes. We got food from three vendors - Peko Peko, Boychik and Quiero Arepas. My daughter’s fave was the fried plantains either cheese from Quiero Arepas while mine was the fried cauliflower salad from Boychik. Upstairs patio was partially closed for a private event so we sat downstairs.

This is a must-visit while in Boulder or the area! The rooftop views are spectacular, and in cooler weather, you can enjoy the fire pit while sipping on one of the fabulous drinks from the bar. I have enjoyed food from many of the restaurants, but Rooted Craft Kitchen is my favorite!
