Coveside Coffee
28 Vannah Ave, Portland, ME
Crema's Take
“Tucked into Portland's Back Cove neighborhood, this family-run gem serves genuinely excellent cold brew and lattes in a light-filled, cozy space that feels like a local secret worth keeping. Their apple cider donuts are worth a special trip, and they've earned serious points for their commitment to compostability—everything from cups to pastry packaging breaks down responsibly. It's the kind of place where you can linger with a book, catch up with friends, or grab something delicious on your way through, and it's clear the community has embraced it as their own.”

I ordered a chai latte here today and believe I was served unflavoured hot water. There is no flavour to the chai at all. The server asked me if I wanted whole milk and I said yes, but they must have forgotten even that since it has neither the flavour nor consistency of whole milk. I had already left by the time I tasted my latte so I am leaving a review instead. The place is lovely and the servers were very nice, but I am extremely disappointed in the drink I was served.
This is a gem of a neighborhood coffee shop -- my go-to order is a latte and a couple of those little cider donuts. It's light-filled and family-run, and Portland is better for this sweet spot.
Randomly stopped at this cute cafe. The apple cider donut was amazing and the cold brew and iced latte were delicious! Would definitely recommend trying it if in Portland, ME!
Adorable little cafe with cozy vibes and delicious coffee. My cozyside latte was so good. I also really appreciate their commitment to eco-friendliness. All of their disposable items are compostable, the trash cans are all compost bins, and the for here cups are reusable glasses. So many places only serve their coffee in disposable cups so I have a lot of love for the places that still serve coffee in real glassware
Coveside Coffe is a great addition to the back cove of Portland. The interior is a cozy space with what looks like a seating area that is soon to be available, however there is still plenty of outside seating. We ordered an Iced Maple Latte and an Iced Mocha, and both were very good! Despite it being very busy, the wait wasn't too long. This is a great spot to grab a coffee when you're in the neighborhood.
