2nd visit, totally different experience but equally awesome. First time was during the summer; stoped for a quick am crepe and like others, ended up staying for 2 hours. Today we ate inside, and miraculously Sara(h)?, our exceptionally warm and fun host, seemed to remember us from the summer. So cozy inside with snow falling outside. We ordered extra, ate it all, and left with some bottles of sumptuous wines that we tried at lunch. Just go.
Simeon Market is the best hidden gem! I can't believe I've been driving by it for years without stopping in! The lattes are amazing and I was given a free sample of one of the most spectacular homemade cookies I'd ever tasted! The food is delicious and they are always ready to recommend a wine that pairs great with your order. Make sure to stop in on Friday afternoons for a free wine tasting and their famous duck fat French fries. On top of all of that, I have met the most interesting people there in other customers and the staff is beyond friendly and helpful! They make you feel like family the minute you walk through the door!
I got a premade turkey sandwich. The bread was very good. I don't like mayo, so I didn't enjoy that there was mayo on the sandwich. My friends enjoyed the chicken salad. We sat outside at a table in the front of the building, where traffic was very loud. It was probably quieter at the tables on the side of the building.
Absolutely spectacular! My wife and I stopped by for a grab and go sandwich, but we ended up staying for two hours! The food was divine, the hospitality was extremely warm and generous, and our server was so much fun! We can’t wait to come back soon. This place is a MUST visit!
I don't think I've ever loved a place more. Half upscale country store, half bistro cafe, completely perfect. I wanted to buy everything. We settled for cheese, chicken salad, bagel chips, and coffee. Bought chocolate and wine for later. Everything we ate and drank was delicious, and the service was exceptional. I won't go to Charlottesville without a stop here ever again!
