Bluetree Cafe - Kaka'ako
600 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI
Crema's Take
“Bluetree Cafe's Kaka'ako location captures that perfect blend of serious coffee craft and laid-back island vibes, with a signature blue aesthetic and bicycle-themed décor spread across multiple levels that invite you to linger for hours. Their staff genuinely lights up when you ask questions about drinks—whether you're ordering their surprisingly delicious mac nut latte or a perfectly pulled Americano—and the multi-floor setup with outdoor seating and second-story views makes it ideal for both focused work sessions and leisurely meetings with friends.”

Really surprised by all the negative reviews, but discovered on a deeper read that they were for random mishaps. So glad I stopped in. The mac nut latte was surprisingly tasty, and the price was very reasonable for this type of drink. My new favorite spot for a decaf espresso in the SALT shops area (tried most).
Really like a coffee here. Moreover atmosphere of ground, 2nd floor and outside of the shop as well!!
Come stop by! I've only gone in the afternoon. I like to ask questions about drinks and their staff is ready to help and do it in such a friendly manner. You can enjoy the 2nd floor or bar floor, tables outside too! I enjoyed my Hot hojicha in a mug, they sweeten it with brown sugar syrup. I enjoyed it :) I will try an espresso drink next time.. and also review their lemonade. Their Affogato specials also caught my eye! 100% appreciate the vibe and the variety here.
The coffee is quite good. I got an Americano, my standard bar for most places, and was favorably impressed with the quality of the beans and how it was made. My friend enjoyed her more fanciful coffee drink, as well as the oatmeal. Which was forgotten for an hour, by both us and the kitchen staff, but then came. Great, casual-chic atmosphere, though the music can get a bit headache-inducing if you stay too long.
This store is similar to the other on Kapiolani Blvd. in its’ signature blue decor with bicycle accessories all around, though there is a second story with a great view out the full length, front facing, glass wall. The espresso is delicious but again not as strong as a proper specialty coffee establishment, but sometimes that okay. Atmosphere is great with plenty of seating, outlets, good music, great service, and very nice interior decorations. My new favorite spot to hangout in Kaka’ako & deserves 4.5/5🤙🏼
