Do you like putting more money into the hedge funds of the c-suite executives of the industrial GIANTS (Wawa)? Do you like paying 20 dollars for a mid sandwich and being pressured to tip 5 dollars at some boujee sandwich joint? Do you HATE family values, hard working folk, and the AMERICAN DREAM? If any of those apply to you, then Sam’s Fresh Spot is NOT for you. As a student pressed for cash, my initial drive to get lunch at Sams Fresh Spot was driven by their extremely AFFORDABLE prices. Although the fact that I can get a HUGE delicious Italian hoagie for $10.50 kept me interested, it was the following that has kept me coming back day after day, for years: 1. The food is just ridiculously TASTY. 2. The fact that I can get a bacon egg and cheese (cooked in front of you with fresh eggs and the highest quality meats) on an everything bagel FOR 4 DOLLARS is just insane in 2025. 3. This is a FAMILY institution. The husband and wife (who now greet me by name when I walk through the door) poor their hearts and souls into this business. 4. They CARE about you and this community. Open early at 5:30 am, they serve the hospital staff who work tirelessly to literally keep this city alive. 5. They love their customers and appreciate loyalty. I am consistently given a few pieces of candy, or some extra fruit because they APPRECIATE their patrons. 6. The food is just ridiculously TASTY (again) I’m gonna sum this up so you can stop reading this and start walking towards Sam’s Fresh Spot. Your money is SO MUCH BETTER (literally gets you more food for less money) spent here than the other big business competitors such as Wawa or Primos. Your money goes into these people’s business, into their family, into OUR COMMUNITY. Sam’s Fresh Spot is the ONLY place to go in this neighborhood for great service, great food, great prices, and even better people behind it.

Really friendly and very fast service. Italian hoagie was not gourmet but it sure hit the spot for $10.

I love this place. It’s clean and it has yummy fresh food at a decent price. The owners are very nice, polite and friendly. All that together is a hard find in center city ! So I really treasure this place! My favorite is their Tuna Sandwich, I order it just with tomato, lettuce and mayo. It’s absolutely delicious. If I would have to find a con to this place it’d be the fact that they only take cash. But all the other pros outweigh this con by far.

Cute quick breakfast & lunch spot, will update review when I taste the food but cash only, had to pay $1.75 to take out cash.
