Z's Divine Espresso

First time at Z’s today and I will be back! The cheddar bagel was delicious and the coffee was so good!

Had a great visit today. Excellent coffee and fresh bagel in a cozy environment. The service was fas and friendly... everything you want in a local coffee shop. I just need to stop in more often.

Edit 2/13/2023: I got a Great Big Mocha with oat milk this morning on my way to work. It felt light when the barista handed it to me, and when I got to work and took the lid off (without taking any drinks of it), it was barely half full and the taste was pretty bad. Very disappointing, I can never be sure of the quality I will experience when coming to Z’s. Original review: Z’s had the best coffee in Lawrence for a long time. This location recently (within the last 6 months) lost the majority of their employees and since then the quality has gone down. I believe the new baristas just need time to learn how to pull a good shot of espresso, so I will keep giving them a chance but recently their coffee has been less than desirable. Editing 8 months after original review: Happy to report that the quality has gone up significantly! Their oat milk lattes are the best in town!

Great coffee says by my girlfriend.. I tried the smoothie 3 times and past 3 times I've gotten the wrong one... Sorry I love strawberry smoothies and every time I keep getting 4berry. And I go back to window to ask and they tell me it's strawberry. There's no way strawberry tastes like blueberries. I've had the strawberry smoothie here and it was fantastic. Which makes me want to get up in the morning and get the coffee. But now I don't really want to even go back. Good coffee tho

My favorite place in Lawrence. Their coffee is not bitter, at all, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating! They play great music and each store is a little different in decor so you can always find one to match your need!
