Capisce Coffee & Espresso Bar

Cute spot with really good coffee and adorable aesthetics. The cinnamon roll was delicious, warmed up perfectly, and very cinnamon-forward, it definitely surprised us in a good way. They have a great selection of syrups for coffee, service was fairly quick, and prices were reasonable for the area. The staff wasn’t overly warm or friendly, but they got the job done. Hey, you’re in New York, what can you expect? I would absolutely return for the cinnamon rolls and a warm cup of coffee.

Fantastic Italian cafe in Lake Placid. We ordered the latte flight (yes, FLIGHT) and were surprised they were full-sized glasses. The coffee is La Columbe which I’ve always found to be a delicious roaster. We watched as the drinks were hand-crafted by the barista with care and brought to our table on small wooden painter’s palettes served up with a Pirouline chocolate wafer roll. I highly recommend the salted maple. We also ordered the breakfast sandwhich that was served on a soft ciabatta roll, lemon pesto, egg (and we added bacon). It was deliciously light, however, I think I would have preferred a chewier ciabatta. The staff was very friendly, brought everything to our table, and even set out fresh cut florals. The atmosphere is a mix of contemporary meets Adirondack lodge. They have branded merch and free dog treats tha our lab, Lady, loved. Will absolutely be back tomorrow.

What an absolutely lovely place it is! In our three days in Lake Placid, we ended up stopping in Caprisce cafe three times. The owner is a pleasure to talk to, all the drinks we had were delicious, the place is cosy and makes you want to come back. The fresh flowers on the tables are gorgeous. Our dog enjoyed yummy dog treats a little. A very positive experience, we will definitely be back every time we will be visiting this region.

Good morning from Lake Placid! This is great place to start your day. The menu is just the right size, the drinks are excellent- get a pastry while you wait for your breakfast or lunch sandwich. Service was friendly and efficient in the setting of a LOT of people passing through. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a beautiful patio, and great for people watching. The current 4.9 rating is 100% earned.

I stopped by this café after watching the sunrise, and it was absolutely lovely. You can tell right away how much thought and care went into every little detail of the space—it’s full of charm in every corner. The interior design was stunning—thoughtful, stylish, and full of personality. Even the little flower vases on each table were all different, each with its own charm. The plates were beautiful too, adding to the overall aesthetic and attention to detail. You could really feel the care put into every detail. I had their fall seasonal coffee, which was perfect for the crisp autumn weather—warm, cozy, and absolutely delicious. And the music? Absolutely perfect. It tied everything together and made the whole experience feel even more special. Even the bathroom, slightly elevated from the main space, felt surprisingly cozy and special—like a little hidden corner. You can tell the entire place was designed with love. A beautiful spot that made my morning unforgettable. Truly a hidden gem that made my early morning feel extra special. And the owner’s bright smile and kindness made the coffee taste even better. A beautiful, heartwarming experience from start to finish.
