Grit Grounds Coffee

Crema's Take
“Grit Grounds is a welcoming espresso-focused spot in Spokane Valley where the spacious, light-filled atmosphere makes it ideal for settling in with your laptop or study group for hours. The genuinely friendly staff—regulars rave about their personal touch—craft both traditional coffees and creative signature drinks, plus matcha and specialty options like Lotus beverages, all while you watch the energy of the adjoining jujitsu studio through big windows. It's the kind of place where people show up to work and stay because of how good it feels.”

This is a great space to sit and work or study. I came here with a study group and have been back on my own to work on assignments. The staff is friendly and welcoming. They’ve got typical coffee and tea choices as well as snacks. I’d love it if they added protein shakes or simple sandwiches to their menu. Something to take note of is that it’s quiet in the afternoon and then gets busy in the evening as the kids come in for Jiu-jitsu. Everyone is still polite and thoughtful, so I can keep working, no problem. It looks to be a great family friendly space to hang out if you have kids.
Stopped in passing through really nice atmosphere and people very friendly. They were technically not open but, still made us coffee and chated we will make sure to stop again when we pass through Spokane in the future. Coffee was really good as well.
My family absolutely LOVES Grit! There is a class for everyone, no matter your level! The atmosphere is fantastic 😊
I’m so glad I found this new coffee shop! Elizabeth was absolutely amazing—so friendly and welcoming. She made me a delicious coffee that hit the spot. They offer not only coffee but also Lotus drinks and other tasty options, so there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is perfect whether you’re stopping in alone to relax or bringing the kids along. I love the cozy couch area, and their late hours make it super convenient. This is definitely my new go-to spot!
Stopped by after finding this spot on Google Maps, and wow. Looks great. Didn't stay long or order anything but I will definitely be back. Big, wide space for people to watch others doing jujitsu or simply to hang out and do homework and study and whatnot. Definitely third space material. Will be back, strongly recommend others check it out.
