Crema's Take

Ichigo Tokyo Crepes brings an authentic taste of Tokyo to Minneapolis with their signature crepes that inspire devoted repeat visits, particularly their showstopping cream brûlée version and inventive Tokyo-style preparations like their Earl Grey crepe. Beyond the crepes themselves, the shop excels as a welcoming gathering spot with thoughtfully crafted specialty drinks like mango boba with almond milk and a genuinely warm staff that makes both solo visitors and couples on dates feel at home. It's the kind of cute, intimate space where the creative menu and attentive service create memorable moments, even if execution can occasionally be inconsistent.

The cream brulee crepe was so good I can't stop thinking about it. Also got a mango Boba with almond milk and strawberries that was so refreshing. It was an awesome spot for our Valentines date 😊

The desert crepes were yummy but maybe the crepes were a bit underdone and they were pretty hard to eat. The savory ones were definitely underdone and need more filling. The Bre crepes flavor was nice in some bites but overall very bland. We couldn’t even finish the chicken pesto one, really bizarre flavor profile. It’s a really cute location I just think one of the workers was untrained and the other was not wanting to work on a Sunday night.

It was a cute place, but it wasn't what I was expecting. The crepe was lukewarm instead of hot, which was confusing. It was inside a cone and wrapped multiple times, which made it extremely hard to eat. I struggled with determining how to eat it for about 10 minutes. I didn't like the cornflakes or the obsessive amount of sprinkles stuffed in the middle. Personally, it wasn't my favorite, but it was aesthetically very pretty.

I love all the variety. The crepes were really delicious, and I especially loved the Tokyo style crepes. I tried the earl gray and it was amazing. The strawberry custard crepe was good but a bit overly sweet. I've never had a crepe with cornflakes before and I liked it but I'll probably try something different next time. They have a lot of variety of crepes to try both savory and sweet and the service was friendly!
