Tenaya Market & Eatery

750 Storke Rd, Goleta, CA

★★★★★3.1(16 Google reviews)

Crema's Take

This Goleta spot blends upscale market browsing with a cozy eatery vibe, drawing praise for genuinely kind staff and standout specialty drinks like their celebrated javaccino. While inventory can be sparse and pricing might surprise you at the register, those who find their niche here love the curated selection and welcoming atmosphere—it's the kind of place that works best if you know what you're looking for rather than as a quick conventional stop.

What happened to the price tags?? It is ridiculous having to go up to the register and ask for a price check! Whoever is in charge that decided to do this, I truly wonder what the goal was for this change..

Tenaya is the best market I have ever been to. The coworkers were so kind and welcoming. The assortment of goods was top notch. Best javaccino I’ve ever had!!! Can’t recommend tenaya market enough.

Yeah I’m with the other reviews on the insanely low stock. There were more employees than actual customers including myself in the store. I can see why too. Prices aren’t affordable for the average college student if you plan to buy more than a few items here.

Stores in the great depression were better stocked than this place. Furthermore, when they are stocked, the choices are absurd. I have repeatedly visited as a measure of last resort and have consistently left with my hands empty. I will gladly bike to Albertsons to not be constrained between a can of Campbell soup and some lasagna sheets (how this falls anywhere near the top on the list of priorities for a college food market escapes me). Unless you just want some candy and a poor selection of frozen foods, be prepared for severe disappointment. On a very brief positive, they do at least have a decent stock of household necessities, toilet paper and the like. EDIT: this was initially a 2 star rating, however, upon visiting today looking to get some milk and finding their ENTIRE refrigeration system offline, I gave up. This place absolutely reeks of poor/cheap/disorganized (take your pick!) management.

It's like a small supermarket, whole foods, and a 7-Eleven had a child. Don't let that scare you if you live nearby, check out their their inventory and see if what they offer fits your needs. Very clean store! Well organized Weekly specials Fresh coffee/drinks offered at the drink bar Hot foods Produce and food products It's basically a convenience store/super market I like to eat their hot foods. I love to eat their rice bowl/plate food just for the spicy herb sauce, but before they changed it to the less tasty spicy herb sauce, it was just herb sauce and it was AMAZING!!! I continue to eat there with the hope of tasting the original herb sauce again!!! 😭 The sandwiches are okay but the center of mine wasn't hot, nor was the cheese melted in the center. The cheese on the sides was perfect. I prefer for them to microwave it before grilling it. Sure it's not the prettiest way to heat people's food but it will get the job done. An alternative to microwaving is to have the sandwich filling heated separately, then assemble/grill the sandwich. This store has medium-sized BOK CHOY !!!!!!!!!!!! :O!!! I don't think you will find Asian vegetables anywhere else in Santa Barbara county lol The prices for the hot foods are as of May 2019
