A stop here is definitely worthwhile, but the price is higher than average- sometimes you pay for what you get. LOVE the Brisket & Gravy brunch!

If you have to spend a while waiting at KU Med, the cafe at Our House KC offers a nice bit of comfort — food, space, people — just around the corner from the hospital.
Mac-n-cheese with burnt ends was wonderful. Cool old building atmosphere. Friendly staff and fast service with great music.
