Crema's Take

Pop The Soda Shop is a vibrant, colorful hangout in Morgantown that goes way beyond basic sodas with an expansive menu of creative specialty drinks and housemade ice cream that keeps regulars coming back. The team genuinely cares about their customers—they'll happily hunt down dye-free options for kids or craft something special off-menu—and pair that attentiveness with a fun, welcoming atmosphere that makes it perfect for meeting friends or bringing the whole family. Between their standout pastries like kolaches and fresh caramel apple rolls, the consistently great service, and that expansive drink menu, it's easy to see why locals consider it one of Morgantown's favorite spots.

This is one of my favorite spots in Morgantown. Their drinks and ice cream are amazing and they have countless options to choose from. The inside is very nice and colorful, and their kolaches are amazing. Can’t recommend it enough.

I've been here twice so far. The chocolate whoopie pie was quite good. The personal cake was a bit dry but not bad, and I enjoyed the candy pumpkins on top. The caramel apple roll tasted like a fresh apple pie, but I didn't get much caramel flavor from the icing. The oatmeal whoopie pie didn't really taste of oatmeal either, but again, it wasn't bad. I've had better, but not bad by any means and I'll still be back to try more. The prices were good too; it was $16 for a brownie, a pretty big apple roll, the whoopie pie, and a cookie.

I visited with my 3 year old who is dye free. I asked the employees if they had anything available without dye in it and immediately they started looking and found an option for him which I truly appreciated. This is a great place to bring a kid, family, or even just to sit and catch up with a friend. The section of drinks is huge , there is truly something for everyone! The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, and the $1 Thursday deal is the cherry on top. Thank you again for the dye free accommodation, we will definitely be back!

I am having a hard time understanding why the reviews are so positive. I guess if you like Coke or Pepsi, you'll enjoy the menu itself. The drink is FINE but when you order a 32oz Sprite and they say "that'll be $8.75" you feel a little taken aback. I ordered one of their recommended beverages, The Woodburn and even ordered it without the vanilla so it was two syrups and cream. It was like a very sweet Sprite with cream. I wouldn't complain too much about the product if the price was reasonable. I was expecting around MAX $5. I'm scared to ask how much a milkshake would cost at this place.
