Really delicious vegan tacos, especially for those taco Tuesday deals. Every dish has so much flavor in it and tastes great. The paintings in here are also really cool. Smaller location.
This spot rules. It is part of my regular Pilsen rotation. My favorites on the menu include the pozole, Mexi burger, chilaquiles, carne asada fries, and tacos de cárnicas. Don't skip a drink here, I love ordering the matcha horchata, but the dirty horchata is amazing too. I have never had a miss at this restaurant. We bring friends and family from out of town here every time. The service here is quick and friendly.
I really liked it! I am not vegan/vegetarian but I really enjoyed my food. I got a taco de bistec (mushroom I think?) and a taco de carnitas (I can’t remember what vegetable it was). It was seasoned very well, but my issue was with the tortilla. I picked it up and it immediately all came apart. I also got an agua de limón con cucumber and menta, and it was delicious, as well. All of that came to $18.99, which was a bit more expensive than I would’ve liked. Overall would come back!
Have been looking to try this place for years. Finally made it, and was fairly satisfied with the food. I had the enchiladas, which were good, but seems like it took a few bites for the flavor to kick in. Even then, it felt like something was missing. I did enjoy them, though. My issue was not receiving any utensils on a to go order. Why would you not put any utensils in the bag? Once I got past that faux pas, I wasn’t happy with them putting the sauce that came in a small plastic sauce container, in my beans. Like, just sitting in my beans. So, the container is slopped with beans, and whatever contaminants that were on the container, are now in my beans. Having to request utensils on a to go order, and tell them NOT to put the sauce container IN my food will need to be expressed explicitly if I return, which I shouldn’t have to do imo.
