Crema's Take

Cotton Duck Cafe is a wonderfully spacious Simpsonville gem that feels both historically rich and genuinely welcoming, with decor that tells a story and staff who deliver authentic Southern hospitality. Their signature creative drinks like the brown butter bourbon truffle latte are standout creations that justify the consistently stellar reviews, while the full breakfast menu and comfortable seating make it equally perfect for lingering over work or conversation. It's the kind of place where you can feel the owner's care in every detail—from the cozy atmosphere to the efficient, friendly service that makes everyone feel like a valued guest.

The BEST “Hug in a Mug” around and such a cozy little hangout spot! So much history in the decor, too. The owner & staff embody southern hospitality, to just bring it all together!

tried the cotton duck for the first time this morning. i was looking for a place with good coffee, yummy breakfast items and somewhere comfortable to sit to finally finish my library books. they checked all of my boxes! the “friends” themed coffees were so cute, i got the 16 oz buffay breve which was delicious and the breakfast wrap with no meat (several options for my fellow vegetarians) — $12 for breakfast and coffee. plenty of comfy seating, from tables, to high stools and a couple couches/lounge chairs. bonus points for having “friends” playing and the random scattering of rubber duckies. cannot recommend enough.

What a delightful little place! And calling it little isn’t probably accurate because it is bigger with more seating than the average small town coffee shop. Plenty of space, cool decor, friendly staff. We only had coffee, but they do have a full menu of breakfast treats and lunch items. I had the Elderberry Bliss with oat milk and it was in my top 5 coffee drinks of all the places I have tried in the last year (and we try to go to a different place every week).

One of the best coffee shops around! I got the brown butter bourbon truffle latte and it was definitely top 5 best coffees I’ve ever had. The people are super nice and the shop itself is too cute. I will be back again and again!

This is one of the coolest places in Anderson county. The atmosphere is incredible. The service is super friendly and efficient. Of course the food and coffee was great too. We got to meet the owner Bobby who happens to also be a pastor. We have a lot of respect for pastors who also work or run businesses in their community and we’re happy to support such people. We’ll definitely be back!
