Cryptid Coffee

Cryptid Coffee was a very pleasant surprise here in historic Pelzer, SC. It's the 1st time I've been in this building since it was a 5 & dime back in the 70's!! (I can still remember the coloring books and toys in the window!) I enjoyed the decaf latte today, Jan. 7th, with almond milk! So smooth 😎 So delicious 😋 The barista was very helpful! I will definitely be back. P. S. I understand there's a 2nd floor with meeting space you can reserve for parties 🥳

Everything I’ve ever gotten here has been awesome. I absolutely love their breakfast sandwiches. The staff is always so friendly and kind, and the cafe itself is beautiful! One of my favorite cafes I’ve ever been to.

I coordinated a wedding here, and I ABSOLUTELY loved the ambience of this space 🖤 Calle and her crew were helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. The drinks were delicious and the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were GORGEOUS! If you’re looking for a unique, historic wedding venue for a small group, here it is!

I am SO happy we have such an amazing local coffee shop around here! I love the building it’s in, the ambience inside, and the whole atmosphere in Cryptid Coffee. I love being able to come here when I have a deadline, get a delicious drink as a treat, and always get my work done bc it’s so relaxing but also cohesive for locking in? I don’t know how they’ve done this, but it’s a great feeling every time I go. Also, the bathroom is GORGEOUS.

This coffee shop is an absolute gem. It's tucked inside a beautiful old three or four story building, and the space is full of character—rustic, vintage, stylish, and thoughtfully put together. It has a creative, welcoming feel that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The owner and staff are incredible humans. Warm, genuine, and full of good energy. Their presence makes the space feel even more inviting. The coffee is outstanding, with beans sourced from local roasters, and the seasonal drinks are crafted with creativity and care. Whether you're here to relax, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a truly good cup of coffee, this place delivers. A wonderful addition to the neighborhood and absolutely worth adding to your weekly routine. Highly recommend!
