General Mercantile

I can’t express how wonderful this local gem is! Stopping in for a cuppa while my kiddos browse for gifts has become a lovely little tradition. They have unique gifts, amazing coffee, teas, and drinks - plus a fun loft area for kids to explore!

This has been my regular go-to stop for chill vibes and neat drinks for years. I am never disappointed with their merchandising choices. They provide a safe and accepting atmosphere, it’s a Human experience. I also always find gift options for birthdays and holidays. I literally cannot recommend this place enough.

If you want an authentic feel to go with your coffee then this is an excellent place. Heavy front door leads to a true general mercantile store turned modern. No WiFi laptops at the counter make it a perfect place to bring a book. I didn’t get to sit in the cubby seating in the back but they looked awesome.

Take the time to have one of their fab drinks and a couple of cookies, before or after you look through the shop. So much fun stuff!! We scouted the merch, noshed and then when rested and refreshed (iced Royal Chai and Huckleberry Italian Soda + cookies to share) we shopped for real ;) Staff are really lovely and attentive despite it being very busy… do yourself a favour and stop in.
