Uncommon Grounds Coffee & Bagels
9 Clifton Country Rd, Saratoga Springs, NY
Crema's Take
“This bustling Saratoga Springs institution has earned its reputation as a Capital District favorite for exceptional bagels and breakfast sandwiches that keep locals returning across all four of their locations. The skilled espresso work and thoughtfully crafted specialty drinks arrive quickly despite the perpetual crowd, thanks to a genuinely friendly staff that moves with practiced efficiency even during morning rushes. Whether you're grabbing coffee solo or settling in with friends, Uncommon Grounds strikes that rare balance between a quick caffeine pit stop and a welcoming spot where you'll actually want to linger.”

I had ordered a coffee from a young lady with a pleasant smile. The coffee came quickly and tasted wonderful. The place was rather packed, but that's not "Uncommon" for this location. Plan ahead if you're intention is to sit in and eat.
Have been to four of their locations, and they have all been outstanding. Best bagel and breakfast sandwiches in the Capital District. Coffee also outstanding. Don't be intimidated by a line, their staff does a great job of moving traffic through without sacrificing quality.
The bagel tasted okay and I think it's a better bagel than on Uncommon Grounds even though it's much smaller and more expensive. But I ordered my bagel to be toasted dark and it was not delivered to me dark, so therefore I am rating it a 2 because the management obviously can't communicate effectively to the tattooed staff making up the bagel, and this is a No-No, so I will no longer try this place in Clifton Park. It was the first time at this Bruegger's in Clifton Park, I used to go to the one in Saratoga but that closed down years ago and seemed better managed.
It was very busy on an August Friday morning but it ran like a well oiled machine. Employees all quick, efficient and friendly enough. I got a large pistachio latte and jalapeño cheddar bagel with lots veggies cream cheese. Both delicious! I luckily got one of the few comfy cheers in the joint and took my time reading and sipping my latte for an hour or so. No one made me feel rushed despite how busy it was. Will definitely return!
With a very pleasant and helpful staff, great tasting food. (I got the healthy harvest) I absolutely love coming to any uncommon grounds anytime I'm remotely near one. I absolutely recommend if your looking for a quality affordable breakfast/brunch you absolutely cannot go wrong coming here. Doesn't quite have the casual atmosphere the Albany location has, but is certainly lovely on the inside. I prefer the order and then move on down to the register that the Albany location has as well. All that said I can't wait to return to this location or really any location they currently have or open in the future..
