Red Wheat Baking Company

Crema's Take
“Tucked in the Loews Kansas City hotel lobby, Red Wheat Baking Company is a charming spot where friendly staff and reliably delicious coffee make up for a modest food selection that leans toward grab-and-go convenience. Their bagels earn genuine praise, and you'll find traditional espresso drinks executed well at prices slightly gentler than the hotel's full breakfast option. It's the kind of place where a quick coffee stop feels genuinely warm, even if you're just passing through.”

Cute coffee shop inside a hotel. Coffee was good and staff was very friendly but the food wasn’t the best. I had the breakfast burrito ($12) which is premade and in the grab and go section, but wasn’t good. Maybe my expectations were too high because I’m visiting from Colorado and am used to amazing breakfast burritos with green chili. Hardly any flavor, no spice, and most the flavor comes from the aioli I think, which I did not like. I also had a cranberry muffin which was good but kinda dry. My total for the burrito, coffee (house specialty with 2 shots instead of 4) and muffin was $27, which felt kind expensive.
the service was super nice! & drinks were so delicious! we got a iced mocha & something delight can’t remember the same but both very good.
Great location in the lobby of the Loews Hotel. The service is super friendly, somewhat limited food selection, bagels are awesome, and the coffee and beverage service is quick and good. The atmosphere is that of a hotel.
Located in the Lowes Kansas City hotel this store offers coffe and a few selections for a quick breakfast or lunch along with a few souvenirs such as t-shirts and post cards as well as chips, candy and other snack type foods.
Seeing that the hotel breakfast is $22 a head, this cafe in the lobby gives a slightly more economical option. And I do mean slightly — $6 for an English muffin sandwich or a small burrito isn’t cheap. The sandwich is pretty good though, while the burrito is meh. The coffee wasn’t great. And don’t be fooled into getting any of the KC souvenir items near the entrance. The prices on those are absolutely bonkers. $22 for four pieces of small chocolate!
