Crema's Take

This Tampa gem excels at doing Southern comfort food right, with buttery, homemade biscuits that anchor everything from fresh breakfast spreads to surprisingly bold fried green tomatoes. The bustling atmosphere strikes a genuine balance between quick-grab convenience and lingering slow-coffee vibes, with staff like Luke who actually care about steering you toward the perfect order. Whether you're fueling up solo with a specialty drink or settling in with family for a full breakfast, you'll find the kind of attention to detail that keeps people coming back—hot, fresh, and made with real care.

We ordered food through a delivery service, and fortunately the food arrived on time.Additionally, the batter on the fried green tomatoes and chicken strips was unexpectedly spicy, despite any prior notification. Consequently, my wife and child were unable to consume their meals. The fried green tomatoes were excessively ripe and cut too thick, resulting in a runny batter on the tomatoes. While I personally enjoyed the batter, the overall experience was disappointing due to the lack of seasoning and the unexpected spiciness. The grits were basic, with minimal toppings. I have had better food options from a gas station at a lower price point.

Absolutely loved my experience at Maple Street Biscuit Company! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The biscuits were perfectly soft and buttery, and everything tasted homemade. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt cozy and inviting. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re craving comfort food done right! 🧡

Unfortunately, this visit to Maple Street Biscuit Company was very disappointing. It had been a while since I’d been here, and I remembered it being much better. We tried sitting outside, but every table was extremely dirty, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. We stayed out there since that’s where the kids wanted to sit, but it wasn’t a great start. The food was very basic and lacked flavor. The biscuit egg sandwich was dry, and the cheese was rubbery and not melted at all. Nothing came out hot. We also ordered grits, which arrived cold with unmelted cheese. When I asked if they could be warmed up, I was told they didn’t have the ability to heat them, so they refunded the grits instead. The staff was polite but seemed limited by how the store is run. This place used to feel well managed, but now it feels like a mediocre spot for dry biscuits. It’s unfortunate, especially with so few good breakfast options in the area.

Loved our restaurant choice for brunch! Food, atmosphere, service…excellent. We were greeted by Luke who assisted in deciding what to order and took the best care of us all the way through. We decided on Fried Green Tomatoes, Five & Dime Biscuit Sandwich ( bacon, egg, cheddar, spicy sausage gravy) and the * Hash Bowl ( crispy potatoes, two eggs, spinach, bacon, cremini mushrooms, peppers, onions, fresh goat cheese). I skipped the bacon. We were both so happy with our choices. They were truly delicious!! Coffee was outstanding and matched the service. Atmosphere was so relaxing and restaurant is kept so clean. We would choose this place over again. Also had the opportunity to speak with the manager, Noah. He could not have been kinder. Great experience all the way around! Even had little greeters outside the door….(see picture)☺️. Quite the touch!
