Crema's Take

This North Providence breakfast destination has earned its stellar reputation with creative morning fare that goes well beyond the standard—think chorizo Benedicts and maple-sauced chicken sausage sandwiches alongside their traditional coffee offerings. The cozy, surprisingly spacious rooms and genuinely warm staff make it an ideal spot for lingering over breakfast with family or catching up with friends after church, and despite its popularity, the kitchen keeps wait times reasonable even during peak hours. It's the kind of neighborhood gem that's clearly become a beloved Sunday ritual for locals and a must-visit for anyone passing through northern Rhode Island.

First time trying Coffee and Cream for Breakfast. Food was delicious. We had the chorizo Benedict and strawberry shortcake pancake off the special menu. Wait time wasn’t long for us at 11:30am around 10mins for 2. They don’t do reservations so if you have a large party, you might have to wait longer.

Best breakfast in the area. They offer choices that you do not normally see. I had a chicken sausage sandwich with egg, sweet bread and a maple sauce. DELICIOUS!!! We can't wait to visit again.

This is one of our go to places for breakfast on Sundays after church. Bigger than expected, but very cozy rooms. Nice staff and great food. Can be crowded, but we've never had to wait too long for a table.

For anyone unfamiliar with the area, this is one of the best breakfast spots in northern Rhode Island. After a devistating fire that destroyed the old location many years ago, Coffee & Cream was revived in its current home with the same spirit and love that made it a local favorite for decades. The atmosphere, though now a more minimalist rustic feel, still pays homage to the original restaurant- which featured hand made equestrian murals and vintage decoration. Fun fact: Coffee and Cream at the time were the names of two horses whose names were displayed on the walls of the original restaurant. As for the food, the quality of their breakfast offerings has stayed consistent these many years- the rich and nostalgic tastes of their food amplified by the local sources they proudly support, such as Wright's dairy and some local bakeries. But by far the best thing about this restaurant are the servers. I have never seen a staff as warm, attentive, and amazing- when you go here they truly feel like a family, truly make you feel welcome. We've known so many servers through the years, seen people come and go, yet the heart of this beloved restaurant stays the same.

Wonderful little restaurant. I'm from out of state and came here for the first time to have brunch with my mom. Everything was good... service phenomenal, food very good, the hot chocolate was tasty, bathroom was clean... we even came close to closing time, and a waitress said we were welcome to take our time. I would love to come here again.
