A New Leaf

Crema's Take
“Tucked into Lake Placid with views of the lake itself, this quirky spot roasts its own coffee in-house and pairs it with made-to-order breakfast that feels genuinely homemade. The space has real character—part antique shop, part local gathering spot—where you're just as likely to linger over an espresso or pour over as you are to settle in with a sourdough egg sandwich and watch the world go by. It's the kind of place where the irregularity is part of the charm, though coffee quality seems to depend on who's behind the espresso machine on any given day.”

Very cute little spot. Coffee is roasted in house and was delicious, and breakfast is made to order right in front of you and was also very good. Far superior quality to anything you’d ever get at a chain, absolutely worth the couple extra minutes wait to have a fresh made meal. You can tell the owner is involved with and loves being part of the community in LP. We will be back!
This place is kinda quirky but I love it. The inside looks like an antique shop exploded in the best way—lots of old stuff to look at while you wait. Coffee is good and strong, nothing fancy, just the way I like it. The real star is the breakfast sandwiches. They make a killer egg sandwich. Simple, fresh, and hits the spot. Couple things to know: no WiFi, no credit cards (bring cash), and the guy running it might seem gruff at first but he’s actually friendly once you talk to him. It’s small, a little old-school, but very charming. Feels like one of those places that hasn’t changed in decades, and that’s what makes it great.
Yummy egg sandwich on sourdough! Ambiance nice outdoors, c View of the lake. Quirky moose and Olympic items. Overall we really enjoyed our visit! Nice owner and fast service also.
We selected this place to sit down and stay for a little while, drinking coffee and maybe getting a little work done, but the coffee tasted burnt and we ended up barely drinking it. Also, the Internet was so slow we couldn’t open any web pages or do the most basic tasks (like check email). The place itself is kinda cute and the owner was friendly and willing to allow us to use our reusable coffee mugs which was appreciated.
I wasn't impressed with the little cafe or the food. My wife and I stopped by early on a Wednesday for a coffee and a quick bite. The man behind the counter was courteous, but not overly helpful or friendly. I ordered a coffee and a Danish looking item, not sure what it would be called exactly. My wife had a hot chocolate and a muffin. Both items were cold and hard, and we had to ask for them to be warmed. I didn't eat the Danish, after the first bite. It wasn't acceptable. The decor looks as though someone's not sure what kind of business they want to run, as the mixture of items makes you wonder what the purpose of the business is. Overall it was a disappointing visit.
