Tatte Bakery & Cafe | Copley Square
200 Clarendon St, Boston, MA
Crema's Take
“Tatte's Copley Square location is a beautifully designed hub where excellent espresso-forward drinks and inventive seasonal creations (like the Iced Tahini Pumpkin Latte) pair perfectly with their standout pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The space buzzes with energy and the staff moves impressively fast despite the crowds, though arriving early or coordinating a table hunt with a friend is practically essential if you want to linger over your cortado and morning bun.”

the good: beautiful space and a staff used to processing high volumes of orders make this a great place for a quick meal/hangout. the bad: this location is pretty big, so service can feel a bit lost here. the ugly: tatte's site presents itself as making beautiful, thoughtful food. My experience was a rushed, thoughtless order. my cappuccino was almost lukewarm, and my egg in the hole was missing the ham. whoever made my dish had also dumped the chopped salad all over my egg, which warmed up the cucumbers and tomatoes. take away: because of limited time I didn't want to complain, but now I regret not doing so. disappointed enough to skip this location the next time i am in Boston. **update: super dry kougin amann, eaten 2 hours after purchase.
The food and coffee is so good! You will fight for your life to get a table though, so be prepared to have someone scope out a spot while you order, if you intend to stay and eat. Super cute place though!
We came here on a Tuesday morning for brunch and ordered a bunch of stuff. We ordered the house coffee, the pistachio latte, the pistachio croissant, the morning bun, some breakfast egg combo and also a slice of quiche. Their pastries are better than their coffee which is better than their brunch. The pistachio croissant was so crispy, definitely worth trying! The price was not too bad either!
We visited Boston and noticed the crowd at Tatte Coffee Shop, so we decided to try it early one morning. We ordered a cappuccino, the halloumi sandwich, and the croissant breakfast sandwich. It took quite a while to get the cappuccino, and unfortunately, it wasn’t hot and the flavor was disappointing. The halloumi sandwich had barely any cheese—maybe about an ounce—so you could hardly taste it. The bread was fresh and tasty, though. The croissant sandwich was okay, but not exceptional. Overall, not sure if we’d come back.
Beautiful cafe w/delectable pastries and coffee!! The Iced Tahini Pumpkin Latte is delicious. The Cortado is strong as well as the macchiato! Great choices for a morning or afternoon pick me up or to just enjoy. The monkey bread and berry cheesecake are 🔥🔥 highly recommend. Good place to relax and catch a chill vibe.
