First time visiting Washington and first time eating Ethiopian food and I’m very glad to say that we were very fortunate to pick this restaurant. The service was excellent and we felt like we sitting in a family table. The mix selection plate we ordered was an excellent introduction to different Ethiopian foods and we loved all of them! The only bad part was that you can only eat so much and I would have just wanted to keep having more! Highly recommended!
INCREDIBLE. Thank you Hana for being such a helpful guide through the menu. You helped us order the perfect meal. Hana was so professional and kind that we were blown away. She made sure we always had everything we needed. The food was the kind of food that Anthony Bourdain would write books about. We had the sambusas, the derek tibs, and the family vegetarian special. The injera bread is so wonderful to eat with and creates a truly unique and fun eating experience. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks again Hana!
I was delivering to Giant when I decided to try out this Ethiopian Restaurant. When I entered the establishment, I was greeted and seated promptly. I waitress was very pleasant and attentive. She took My order and when the food came out she plated the food very well. The atmosphere was very beautiful. The place is small and cozy and filled up quick during Dinner. They had one coed bathroom and it was clean, with an extra hand washing station on the outside. When I completed My food, the waitress was quick with getting My check. There Lamb Tibs were so good and they came out hot and spicy.
Phenomenal! This meal will live rent-free in my mind. Excellent variety and flavor! Plenty of spongy Injera! I’d been craving some Lega Tibs and Doro Wot for a while and this more than satiated my craving. I will absolutely revisit the next time I am in DC!
In DC from South Georgia, I took my family to experience Ethiopian food for the first time. The lovely lady caring for us took time to make recommendations and teach us a bit about how to use the injera to scoop our food. When my husband asked for a fork, he was denied 😂. There were many places to choose from; we’re glad we chose this one.
