Crema's Take

Sleepy Kitea is a newer boba spot in Riverside that's quickly winning over the UCR crowd with creative, fruit-forward drinks like their honeydew and dragon fruit slushes, backed by genuinely warm service from the owner and staff. While some regulars note the tea can skew milky and sweet, what keeps people coming back is the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for lingering with friends or catching up after work. It's the kind of place where the owner actually remembers you and will remake your drink to get it just right.

Boba is well flavored, a little hard but I was here a few hours before closing. Only thing I don’t like is that it’s veryyyyy weak tea. You can see in the picture it’s mostly just milk.

Stopped here after the air show at March ARB based on reviews. I ordered the dragon fruit slush at half sweet with lychee jelly. It was a bit sweet for me but Mark offered to remake it at no sweet and then add a quarter sweet if needed. Mark gave me a sample at no sweet and it was right for me. Mark was very helpful and fully explained how he can prepare drinks based on customer needs. Fruit slushies tend to be sweeter than other drinks so if you don't have a sweet tooth I'd recommend starting at no sweet and then adding if needed. You can even order less than no sweet. Overall I would return if I lived in the area.

Go visit this new boba shop!!!! Saw that they opened recently and wanted to give them a try as their menu has some creative drinks. Walking in, my boyfriend and I were greeted by the owner and was told that they had been making boba for a while and decided to open up their own shop. They were very friendly and also very helpful with the menu. I ended up getting the green apple green tea with the dulce de lèche boba which tastes like caramel. When mixing it, it tasted exactly like those caramel apple lollipops you have as a kid. (5/5) My boyfriend got the dulce de lèche latte and instead of getting flan on the side, he requested to put it inside the drink as a topping and it turned out amazing. Better than any classic milk tea you would get. (5/5) After loving both we got another drink which was a plain honey green milk tea with soy milk which was also soooo good. (5/5) Tip: if you're getting a fruit tea, 0% is already very sweet! Think of 50% sweetness as already 100% I recommend stoping by this small family owned business to give them a try
